He was playing at the Bike this weekend. Had an interesting post on RGP that stated that the Bike has a "CAP" rule NL tournaments. 3 floor directors agreed and upheld the dealers ruling.i.e.blinds 1K - 2Kplayer 1 (18K): small blind player 2 (120K): big blindplayer 3 (145K): UTGplayer 4 (110K): buttonP3 raises to 4KP4 re-raises to 8KP1 pushes allin for 18KPlayer 2 has AA and can't reraise against the other big stacks. does anyone find this to be one of the most ridiculous rules ever!By the way since you guys love perry so much he also plays on Prima's network under the name Zweig. At the Borgata in AC it was the latter (for NL).

Explain again why he can't reraise all in? "cap" rule is confusing to most of us. Anway, there is a good article in the Tilly issue of Cardplayer that deals with reraising situations where the absolute raise was more than double the initial raise, but any one single raise was not. However, in this instance it shouldn't matter because player 1's push was clearly more than double the last players raise. There is absolutely no reason why player 2 can not move all in. The facts in this instance are not correct. There is something else that you are missing. Not even southern Californians can be so dumb as to make up a rule like this.

yeah, always get the two confused.For more clarification. Cap is used to desribe the number of raises allowed. in this case 3 raises. Im not sure how it would work if a player moved all in for less than a full raise on any raise, but I still think it is a terrible rule that has nothing to do with NL and is being taken out of context from a Limit format.-JB-

I don't play anywhere but on Full Tilt Poker, but the above scenario would allegedly be true at the Bike. For some reason, they seem to think that they can hold a NL tourney where they have a bet and three raises max.See the thread from RGP that was linked in earlier. It's simply bizarre.Perry
