  1. Took down a 150 man $1k buyin tourny for a 40k score at my local B&M.Told my bosses to go f*ck themselves and quit my job.Been enjoying the unemployed life since then (probably will get a new job soon I suppose).Have decided with certainty that I'll never want to go pro in poker.
  2. So I can't seem to find an old video blog (I think) where DN talks about a sucker bet. Something like he takes three cards, two are aces, and the other is a different card and he picks one and then has to guess what the other two are. I can't remember the details and wanted to watch it again. Thanks in advance for the help.
  3. Good luck with the challenge and improved BR management.p.s. beware the doom switch.
  4. The funniest bum sign I ever saw read:My family has been kidnapped and is being held for ransom of $100,000. I'm $0.98 short can you help?
  5. What a ****ing joke. Amature hour. Please tell me they don't plan on putting this on broadcast television. God, and I thought the wsop coverage was bad.
  6. This is my favorite. Playing 10/20NL at the Bellagio, I call a button raise to 60 preflop from the BB with , everyone else folded exept button and blinds. The flop is: Turn: River: :card_hearts_4:It gets checked all the way through the river. After the river checks through, the dealer asks to see the hands. I proundly show my K9 (I'm playing the board) and the other two players insta-muck.As the dealer pushed me the pot I could tell he was having a tough time not laughing.
  7. Wow. Just... Wow. This thread is the nuts.
  8. Holy Crap! First, congrats to the OP. You're wife is hot and I wish you guys the best. Second, that sweater is the nuts man. This thread is comedic gold and was a well spend 40 min of my otherwise busted day at work. Third, I feel sad somehow because an otherwise great thread has been, for lack of a better word, contaminated. (sigh) well I think it still merits this...
  9. I play at Bay 101 when I'm in the area, but I'm not a great limit player so I don't make opportunities to go there more often (I'd rather go to Los Angeles). The big limit games at Bay 101 are sick though. Havn't been to Cache Creek in ages but I've been meaning to make it up that way sometime soon. The rake there is completely outrageous, but I've heard the action has gotten really good since the new room opened so I'll definately check it out soon. Never been to Petaluma. My regular spots to play in and around the Sacramento area include: Jackson Rancheria, The Limelight (since they op
  10. Thanks a lot guys. Actually I'm stunned that I made it most of the way down the first page without getting reamed by someone for posting a brag!
  11. The dude lost a quarter mil on props for not getting a bracelet this year. Cut the poor guy some slack and let him vent.
  12. Yeah, this is the same guy that instacalled my QQ all in with 22 so basically he dumped his entire 150k stack to me over those two hands (actually more because he reloaded in between off someone else). I could be wrong about the A,10 read on the guy but he did mention having an Ace after he mucked. Its very possible that it was a much worse ace but even given that he's nearly getting the right price to call even against a hand that has him dominated. I never said the play in this tournament was strong and being on the bubble, this guy was willing to take a stab with any ace but not willing
  13. I wrote this for my local Poker forum (northern California) and didn't feel like changing anything, but its should still be a good, albeit long read. Monday was 10 kinds of awesomeness.A lot of you might remember me talking about how I qualified for a big tournament at Jackson a couple months ago and how I thought it would be a really good tournament to do for the money involved and the competition level. The way they ran the satellites I qualified in was a $120 buy in ($110+$10) and one out of every ten entrants gets an $1100 seat at the main tournament. Well I was lucky enough to win a se
