sven00100 0
Lol well I e-mailed full tilt to up my max tables to 16 just for the fun of it, and it was interesting to say the least...I played for 26 minutes on 16 tables - a total of 498 hands... and my head was just fried haha...i was playing on $.01/$.02 NL 9 handed just to try it, and went up $1.04 over the 498 hands lol...I was just curious what people tend to be able to handle for ~1 hour while playing well (obviously this was too many for me, though it was interesting)Haha thanks guys . gooch 0
i haven't been able to play well at cash games lately, maybe i haven't been playing enough tables
Frez 0
I have no problem with 4 tables of 6 max PLO for an hour, and can handle 6 when there are no distractions. Have done up to 8 for short periods (while getting off some tables and onto others). Limit games are obv easier to handle than big bet games.
Tencents71 0
I don't know how anyone plays more than 4 tables at a time, it makes my head explode. Plus, the screen sizes get so small I can't read the cards well enough. I know guys that play 8, but man that's too much processing for my little brain.
HiN8s 0
I read about people 24 tabling. I don't see how this is possible without some sort of software. I, personally, don't like to do anymore than 2 tables at a time. Otherwise I can't keep up with reads on other players.
antistuff 0
i play my best at 2 or 3 tables although i can do up to 5.
pbwl11 0
I can do 4 limit tables at once. But only 2 no limit or all of a sudden I'll find myself calling bottom pair against a raise and reraise.... And you should NEVER try to play both types at once.....

Sometimes 8 if no distractions and after half hour or so I'll drop my worst two tables. I play for about an hourish or so also.
Solar 0
I can play 4 6-max nl tables when I'm focussed, isnt too hard. Had my biggest session ever in terms of number of hands just the other day, 3-4 tabled for like 3.5 hours an played ~900 hands.Mixed games I can just handle two tables. It can be seriously confusing playing two different stud games at the same time.
Cappy37 0
And you should NEVER try to play both types at once..... Heh.. On an average night I have between 5-10 tables, with a mix of HORSE/LO8/Razz making up the tables.I am not one to be f*cked with.People who 4 table nlhe make me giggle. Anything with a flop can be 8-10 tabled while sleepwalking in the micros up through 1/2.
Solar 0
People who 4 table nlhe make me giggle. Anything with a flop can be 8-10 tabled while sleepwalking in the micros up through 1/2.Can =/= should. I probably could play 8 tables profitably, but I don't really want to atm. I want to enjoy playing and improve my game, neither of which can be done while sleepwalking. Lucoo_ 0
Guess im that crazy guy that 20-24 tables NL 25 and NL 50, but really its just a matter of practice, just add 1 or 2 at a time. I remember when i first tried 8 SNGs at a time and felt like my head was going to assploooooooode.
DemonDonk 0
I've done 4 at a time at the most. I don't particularly like it much, but it helps your patience.
strappazon 0
My max is 4. But i when i do that i have to play ABC poker because it is impossible for me to read an opponent when i'm playing against 32 players.I think i'm doing well with 2-3 tables max.
sven00100 0
Thanks everyone for the input!!!I will put in my more specific reply now...I feel comfortable 4-5 tabling even full ring tables, I feel 40 people is not too many to keep tabs on... you won't have big reads on mediocre players, but you'll know LAGs specific rocks, and good players by paying attention ... 6-8 I have found myself to play mostly ABC poker, but I can get reads on a couple of noticeable players, who i will play differently against seems profitable still.. but not as profitable as 4-5 tabling ... 9-16 ugh, so far requires far too much concentration to play good poker... one session hardly says whether it is profitable...Again I usually play 1 table while working on my game (this seems typical) sometimes 2-3 if I'm not doing anything else at the time (ie. being distracted by TV)based on empirical observation alone, i find that 4-5 tabling is the most profitable for me, but I'm just sort of looking for consensus at what people are comfortable with .Thanks again everyone!! snooptodd 0
This x100. Made that mistake once...I would add that playing different types of stud games at the same time is never a good idea. Lost quite a bit one time capping every street when I had the only hand that could have a low in a 4-handed pot when I finally realized that the rest of the table was playing Stud Hi and I was playing Hi/Lo. Makes multi-tabling HORSE, my personal favorite, a little tough, though.
rayen 0
Can play 16 tables but must have a different strategy then I normally would play. Prefer to play 9 tables ... feel thats the perfect balance where I get some time to think before I have to make a move.
aucu 3
I've been playing four tables but making the odd bad call, will cut it down to three.
buffofspades 0
I can do 4 full ring games, or 2 6-max games that ar NL or PL. I probably could do a lot of limit games if i tried, but I don't have the screen real estate.
antistuff 0
one thing i would like to add is that i think a lot of you micro grinders are doing yourselves a huge disservice with the number of tables you play. you should really consider spending time playing only one or two and working on getting better. The problem is ADD...When I play one or 2 tables it becomes internet browser time which is worse then multitabling...its hard to keep the focus...
