any players in the louisville area

Recommended Posts

A group in my area are holding a River City Home Series Of Poker. The guy who started this has put a lot of effort into this to be a success. Satalites to the "main event" - there will be a few one table (or more) no-limit hold-em satalites. A couple satalites will be scheduled, but there will also be the opportunity for people knocked out of the early tournaments to start up a satalite to the "main event". Winner will win enough to buy-in to the 'main event' so the buy-in to the satalites will at least be the "main event" buy-in divided by the number of players in the satalite. Satalites do not count towards the Overall Best Player reward.Saturday June 4, 2005Noon - S.H.O.E. Championship (stud, hold-em, Omaha hi/lo, and stud h/l eight or better). This event will count 1.5 times every other event in the point system for the Overall Best Player.Afternoon - Opportunity to start a "main event" satalite.7 pm - Pot Limit Hold-em Championship11:30 or after the Pot Limit event completes - Pajama Hold-em (just a name - keep your clothes on)Sunday June 5, 2005Noon - 7 card Stud ChampionshipEvening - Scheduled "Main Event" Satalite - will start at 5:30 or so.Monday June 6, 20056:15 pm - Pot Limit Omaha ChampionshipWednesday June 8, 20056:15 pm - Scheduled Main Event SataliteThursday June 9, 20056:15pm - Stud Hi/Lo ChampionshipFriday June 10, 2005Host has a commitment until 10pm - if there is enough interest we will have the Limit Hold-em Championship at 10:00 pm - the limits will rise quickly so it does not last all night. Or a "main event" satalite.Saturday June 11, 2005Noon - Omaha Hi/Lo Championship7:00 pm - The Main Event - R.C.H.S.O.P. Championship - No-Limit Hold-em.Overall Best Player Point Systemthe formula is: Place Points X (#players+100)/100 X (buy-in+100)/100Place Points: 1st 15; 2nd 10; 3rd 8; 4rth 7; 5th 6; 6th 5; 7th 4; 8th 3; 9th 2; 10th 1 (make a final table and get points)ALSO: The S.H.O.E. event will count 1.5 times any other event.Examples: Main Event winner lets say we fill to capacity 70 players and decide on a $60 buy-in.Winner Main Event will get 15 x 1.7 x 1.6 = 40.8Second 10 x 1.7 x 1.6 = 27.2S.H.O.E - while I think the 1.5 point multiplier will increase the interest lets assume 15 players with a $15 buy-inWinner S.H.O.E. event will get 15 x 1.15 x 1.15 x 1.5 = 29.76Second 10 x 1.15 x 1.15 x 1.5 = 19.84Pot-Limit Hold-em event assume 32 players with $20 buy-inWinner Pot Limit event will get 15 x 1.32 x 1.2 = 23.76Second 10 x 1.32 x 1.2 = 15.84Player with most points wins.

I'm come, but I'm only off on Thursday and Saturday, and I don't play Stud Hi/Lo, and I'd need to know a buy-in for the main event. And it'd have to be small...I don't get paid for two more weeks.
