  1. Maybe not, Pens may get a short handed goal
  2. Oh, sweet, power play. I can go use the restroom for the next 2 minutes
  3. Gotta admit, I'm not getting a great feeling about this game... Rangers need a stupid goal or something to give them some confidence and swagger
  4. Saw this last night and it was awesome. Did you see this one yet, BHeart?
  5. The great Gabbo (including the OT game winner!!!)
  6. Oh? http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/wp/2013/01/18/no-sidwell-friends-school-has-no-armed-guards/?Post+generic=%3Ftid%3Dsm_twitter_washingtonpost
  7. It's not at all obvious to me that the schools are safer. It depends on who the "guards" are. But I think one could easily argue that the rate of kids getting shot when they could otherwise be constrained using non-lethal means could be comparable to the rate of preventing kids from being killed during a school shooting. The important variables here are the rates of school shootings (small), the total number of schools (large), the average number of kids saved by an armed guard (questionable, but probably small), and the rate of shooting a kid who's being "aggressive but non-lethal" towa
  8. Well, a lot of people aren't enjoying it all that much, mostly because the reduction social security payroll tax expired. This was a tax cut that applied to about 163 million Americans. Of course, Republicans, having an insane backward view of the world that only makes less sense as you examine it, didn't fight against the expiration of this tax cut. They DID fight tooth and nail to prevent tax hikes on millionaires, but apparently they only care about taxes that effect the rich. http://www.slate.com/articles/business/moneybox/2012/11/payroll_tax_holiday_the_most_important_part_of_th
  9. Oh, come on. Everybody knows that an argument is won by the person who presents the most compelling anecdotes.
  10. I don't think you understood that show. Accurate in what way? Do you actually think that welfare is a big problem in our current economy?
  11. Those guys sure sound like a bunch of winners.
