  1. That's the whole reason I posted this, though. I didn't say I played it well, I didn't know. That's where you guys come in
  2. Wow. Some people on here are right arseholes sometimes.
  3. I think, maybe, I was scared of a set as opposed to putting him on one. He later told me he did have one, though. Thanks for the feedback.

  5. That's odd. I've found this forum nothing but helpful. Some people are harsher in tone than others but the advice is usually sound.Unlike another forum that shall remain nameless, "OMGOMG YOU CALLED WITH JACK HIGHOMGOMG YOU DONK I'M GOING TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND KILL YOU FOR DARING TO DO SUCH A THING~~~~~~~~~!!!!11111"

  7. Actually, I went onto Amazon and had a look at Theory of Poker but it didn't mention odds and I didn't want to buy something that was too advanced for me.Yes, I've seen Theory of Poker praised and it was probably on my list anyway but, like I said, I didn't want to buy it just yet if it was too advanced. And this (and 'The Poker Forum') is the only poker forum I visit. I don't like the 2+2 layout. Thanks for the input, though.
  8. What book would people recommend that explains about pot odds and implied odds and stuff?Cheers.
  9. When I play the $3.30 Rebuy on Stars I always can't decide if I should rebuy immediatly and double up to 3000 or see if I can just get by with the original 1500 and then add-on at the break.Just wondering what you guys do?
  10. Thanks for the replies, some interesting stuff.
  11. I have a question that came to me after seeing somebody in another thread get all kinds of flamed for calling with 10c 4c because it was his lucky number.Does everybody (that is, everybody who can be considered a good poker player) always play just the odds and position? I mean, I'm pretty much a poker newb and I saw a post here the other week which had somebody asking if pushing with a certain hand (I forget which) in a certain position (I forget which) would be 'out of line'.Surely if you have a hand you like the looks of, a hand that can make you money, position and the odds can be put to o

  13. I'm guessing some people would question the fact that I was in this hand with A3s. But, I wasn't viewing this hand as Ax. I wanted to play with it with the potential flush and straight. So apparantly this 300 call on the flop was bad. Also, I apologise for not using the hand convertor. I'm not sure how. It never works when I try.EDIT: I think it worked actually, lets see.---PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxBB (t1280)UTG (t3265)UTG+1 (t2975)MP1 (t1700)MP2 (t2835)CO (t2190)Hero (t6860)SB (t3155)Preflop: Hero is Button with 3:spade:, A:
