Ok. I begrudgingly throw myself in the pool.

With a $250 Pool, I think we should do 1st Place: $200 2nd Place: $50 if there's a tie for 2nd & 3rd they each get their money back $25. Is that good with everyone? I think $12.50 to 2nd & 3rd is kind of silly which we've done in the past.

Payments: If you guys could do a $25 e-transfer to govfcp@gmail.com that would be best. If you prefer paypal you can shoot it to govfcp@gmail.com as well. Just leave a note in this thread that it's been sent so I can update the list who's paid.

Payouts

Prize Pool $250

1st Place: $200

2nd Place: $50

In the event of a tie in votes between 2nd & 3rd they will share the $50 and get their money back $25 each.

How do you do e-transfer? I didn't know I was screwing over gov every season with the exchange rate

I knew the canadians had to pay more for the buy-in due to the exchange but I thought everyone was paying in USD.

We should institute a new rule and have the buy-in and prize amounts to be paid in US dollars.

Except most ppl are Canadian and don't have USD. In the past when we started the exchange was about equal and was never really an issue. If an American won I've paid USD and vice versa while keeping all money in the PayPal account that's setup. Some winners have taken a few bucks less from fees or exchange that left it short.

Does that idol expire or something? I wasn't really paying attention to this episode so I don't know why he did it, and i haven't watched survivor in years, but isn't it monumentally stupid for David to not save that immunity idol for himself at some point?

I'm kind of on the fence on using the idol there, but leaning more towards it was a bad move. BTW I'm pretty sure the last time you can use an idol is at 5 people left.

It was an ultimate move to gain trust. The three girls in the middle (Jessica, Cece, and Sunday) probably trust him now by making that move. And they can now move forward together.

But it is too early. He is not going anywhere soon, if that tribe wants to vote out the weakest they vote out Cece, if they want to vote out the strongest they vote out one of the more muscular dudes. He was just in a snug spot at least for a couple tribals. There is also likely a "drop your buff" scenario coming soon where having an idol is a huge advantage.

So I have respect for him for wanting to gain trust and more allies, but when a tribe switch is historically coming in the next 1-3 tribals, if I was in his situation I keep it. With that said, editing doesn't show everything, and that was a weird tribal where everyone's lies were exposed and a bunch of alliances were broken. Can't completely criticize him for trying to gain some allies in that scenario.

Cliffs: not horrible, but I think he should have kept it
