This is too long to get into on my phone, but in a nutshell, there is a Washington effect going on with Stan (meaning, as time goes on, less and less of the achievements of the individual founding fathers is widely known, and more and more is attributed to Washington), and he is often credited as being the sole creator of most of the iconic silver age Marvel heroes, which is, at best, leaving out the artists, chiefly Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, and at worst Lee's intention all along, serving his own financial and self promotional interests. How much input Stan actually had in the creation of any characters is hotly disputed, but what isn't is how badly Stan and Marvel ****ed the artists in terms of royalties and credit. There's tons of stuff on this online, and I'm firmly Team Kirby
He has a beamer, the man is not above spending money. We just need to push him. I'm going with shame. And it's only because I love him and want him to give himself the permission to spend the money that he has worked so hard for.
I think everyone should get as many uniform rocks as there are open seats and then everybody meets in the town square and take turns dividing up their rocks into each candidates bucket of water and then whoever of that race has the most water displaced wins. You can give all of your rocks to one candidate if you want.
Thanks for reposting that. I didn't know I dropped that "But he's not." line in there, as in my mind, I was just talking about how that particular situation wasn't proof. But saying "But he's not" is just stupid, because how could I actually know such a thing, and why would I post it with such confidence? That was stupid and I apologize. I appreciate the correction.
I’m sure extremely not racist Steve King and his extremely not racist supporters were being literal here because if there’s one thing NW Iowa is known for its for having to import literal dirt from Mexico and California and whole lot of other places in order to grow jalapeño peppers, a vegetable commonly associated with Mexican food and culture.
