NOFX_PUNK 0 Posted August 19, 2006 Share Posted August 19, 2006 I literally just thought of this and to be honest it's probably not a unique idea but if you guys fancy it we can brainstorm and decide if it would work or not!Online poker with real dealers.Imagine watching your hole cards being dealt, they are dealt over a glass plate so you can see them, this would be done as picture in picture with the main screen showing the dealer dealing the other player's hole cards. The dealer would deal out a flop, turn and river with each card displayed graphically in the corner so as to avoid confusion.The chipstacks would obviously need to be virtual and could be displayed next to the other player's face down hole cards.As well as seeing everything in the video window, all the details of the game and hand in progress would be displayed in text as well so as to avoid any problems with grainy video. I have seen this put to use on an online casino website where they employed a real croupier for a 'live' roulette game.Imagine basically that it looks like a poker TV show only it's interactive and you are one of the stars.I am sure there are faults with this idea but I still feel it could be the start of something pretty good! That is why I am placing copyright on this post so noone can steal my idea!!!I would, however, be keen to hear what u guys all think, bearing in mind if anyone has a really good idea I might see my way to giving them a cut of my imminent fortune! Run it through a casino, have tables where live and virtual players can sit together, the fact that everyone's cards are recorded by camera's also rules out live collusion.3. How would it be different from just having the sight look like Stacked or TruePoker and having a virtual dealer? Why pay somebody to sit there, shuffle cards, and deal?
