teddyKGB 0
I was thinking about this the other day and after reading the if I die post, it got me wondering...How much money do you guys keep online?I keep enough to play whatever limit I am currently at with the whole 300BB structure...and I am playing 3-6/5-10 level right now.Do you feel safer keeping it in money transfering sites or on the actual poker site. What do you do if you don't keep it on the sites?if you can think of more nuances regarding this matter feel free to add.Matt
rwood 0
i used to keep my whole roll online...now i keep 4 buy ins for the biggest games i ever play. i have only had to reload that buy in once in the last year.when my whole bankroll was locked up for 6 months on party about a year and a half ago it made me not want a good chunk of roll on any sites, i have supported myself with poker for the last 3 years, so i am no doubt a winning player at the limits i play, so if i ever do hit a bad run of variance i just deposit more, i normally never swing more than half of my 4 buy ins...of course i havent been multitabling lately(the last month or so) but when i start to do that again i will have double the amount of buy ins per table. so 12 for 6 or 16 for 8. i usually keep my money in my bank account and do igm deposits if i need it, but i would def. rather keep a good percentage of my roll in neteller over a single gaming site. specially not party. cheers. jdquads 0
I keep only about 5k online. What I have done incase I die is very simple. I put my passwords and everything in the saftey deposit box which only I have a key. My wife knows that I keep personal records and the will in there. There are directions in the box to withdraw all funds asap since the poker gods will not have known that I die. Once in netteller she is able to withdraw to my checking act and from there it I ill be in a us bank.

rwood 0
limit and no limit. i guess i must have a strategy that is low variance....i dunno....btw i keep 1k online basically i play between 2/4 and 5/10 whatever games seem softest at the time....usually im sitting 3/6. for the NL it's usually .5/1.00 or 1/2. i've been a consistent winner at these games for 3 years now...so i guess i have the games/limits figured out at this level. i have no real wanting to jump limits as i enjoy making good money as a college student. golf 3-4 times a week and usually between 500-700 a week in profit. i used to keep a huge roll online, but the longer i've played the smaller my swings are getting at these limits i rarely swing more than 50bb's single tabling limit...and i cant remember the last time i lost more than 2 buy ins in one session. i coudl just have a humungous horseshoe up my *** for the last year or so and havent experienced a real downswing. anyways. thats my system... ....Ian.... 0
at one point I had more than my savings, which was stupid.I keep a rather arbitraty amount now. bout 30 PLO buy-ins AND bout 20-40 tourney buy-ins
Wandigo 1
Any time I make a deposit online I lose it within a few days. This way, I never have to worry about dieing and having money stuck in my account.
Royal27 0
I keep $500 online and take $500 out each time I go over $1000 at the end of a session. This equals 5-10 buy ins as I play the $50 and $100 tables on party. If I lose the $500 I’ll deposit some back. I also (and this is key for me) have a COMPLETELY SEPARATE banking account just for poker. So I can tell what my roll is at any time.I also have a couple of hundred bucks out at other sites for goofing around. Like about $200 on FT that I only use for tourneys. I am a much better cash game player and so I don’t play tourneys on Party. I’m afraid I’ll lose more than I realize, so I keep them separate. at one point I had more than my savings, which was stupid.I keep a rather arbitraty amount now. bout 30 PLO buy-ins AND bout 20-40 tourney buy-inswell done! diamondhead 0
I keep the majority of my Poker money in Neteller as opposed to the poker sites. I feel better this way that not too much is on any given poker site. After the Pokershare fiasco and random stories of people getting their accounts frozen for weird stuff I think neteller is the safest alternative and allows availability for quick tranfers. Several FCP members lost some money.Just saying. And to answer the question, I keep about half of my roll online at any time. This is incase of any emergency situation in the real world. It also seems to do fine for my regular games online.
