John Tortorella will continue to be an asshole

Colorado will be a much happier team now that Roy is no longer their coach.

The Staal Brothers will continue to be hugely overrated

Are they overrated?

They're just on the downside of their careers... Eric has an amazing peak and Jordan was a huge piece of a cup team (best 3rd line centre in the league?). Don't know much about Marc. Jared is still the best one.

Thats an interesting statement on the Staals. Never thought of them as overrated? By who?
I think Eric had a fantastic career, Jordan is a very very good player (if anyone thought he was a star, well, they were sadly mistaken, but he is/was a great guy to have as your #2 C), and Marc is a very good-good D, easily top 4.

I mean, they arent superstars, or ourside of Eric, top liners, but really, who thought they were? I know Jordan as picked high, and some of us hoped maybe there was more there, but no one really thought of him as a 70pt, first line centre. Did they?

If we go by winning, all 3 have been a big part of their teams success, 2 with cups, and Marc helped his team get to the finals.

ask Broadway John about Marc Staal

Jordan and Marc are paid like Stars and not the complimentry players that they are.

Eric went downhill really fast and hasn't been good for the last couple seasons, before that he was very good.

One of the few things the fchl board does better than this one.

dont know a good way to do it here while keeping it text. I always just screenshot but those disappear after a while, so no historical staying power lol

oh, overpaid. Ok, sure. I can see that I guess.

I think "complimentary" really depends on what they do, and their effect on the team. I think JStaal is a hugely underrated player, not because he is a star who can get 70pts, or because he makes everyone around him score 40 goals, but because if you watch him play often, you see the effect he has on possession of the puck,(getting it, and keeping it) and his F/O win % and how good he is at shutting down oppositions top lines. I think people see his points, and his salary, and think he is grossly overpaid. I would not agree, but I can see how that kind of skill might be better served at this point on a team who is a contender.
