Poker at the Plaza GREAT READ!

Recommended Posts

Daniel, Fox aired the final four at the from the Plaza tourney last night . What a great read you made calling A9 as Freddie's hand! How in the world did you do it and what whas your thought process? This tournament has been the best filmed and interesting I've ever seen on TV. Your hand reading skills are fantastic! Please enlighten the rest of us on how you do it! Thanks

First time poster...I haven't seen much of the FSN Poker at the Plaza, but just watched the heads up between Freddy Deeb and our host.Deeb has Big Slick and hits top pair K on the flop. DN somehow won this pot with a pure bluff faking a straight/flush or flopped set (DN had Ah 9). Anyone care to comment on this hand. I was absolutely floored at this play. I liked Daniel's play before this hand, but that hand has me searching for superlatives. The announcers (including Howard Lederer) were suitably impressed, but I'd love to hear if Daniel (first of all remembers the hand) and second what kind of read had he made. The announcers mentioned a hand that Layne Flack earlier in the tourney had played against Freddy with Daniel watching betting just enough to get Freddy to call dispelling the thought it might be a bluff. Freddy folded the hand since he correctly guessed he was beaten.Sorry if this hand has been discussed before, but it's a seminal hand in my poker education. Didn't know plays like that happened.P.D. Turns out this is a hand that Daniel wrote an article about in CardPlayer magazine. It's an awesome article now that I saw it in action. Daniel's insight are amazing....good stuff.
