Live Poker Is Rigged

Recommended Posts

I got really lucky and won this crazy hand playing $5/$5 NL at Fallsview yesterday.PREFLOP: I have QsQd under the gun.- I raise to $25- Cutoff calls- Big blind re-raises to $125- I call- Cutoff re-raises all-in to $195- Big blind calls and I callFLOP: Qh 4h 5h- Big blind bets out $200- I raise all-in to $540- Big blind callsWe turn our cards up now and the guy in the cutoff who was all in preflop had AcAs and the guy in the big blind has KhKdTURN: 9hThe guy with KhKd makes a flush and jumps up out of his chair to scream "Yes!" and tell me something about justice and how I shouldn't have played against him.RIVER: 4cThe guy with KhKd still thinks he won and looks at me and yells out "Yes! Flush!" Then I tell him that I have a full house and he tells me to **** off and leaves the table. LOL.So, this is for all the people that say online poker is rigged and that those crazy hands don't happen live. AA vs KK vs QQ and I win my biggest pot ever by cracking Aces and Kings. I'm running so good right now. LOL.

This hand isn't that crazy. It's the 0.7% runner-runner straight flushes and quadses that happen like 15% of the time I get the money in in dominating position that are the things I ***** about in online poker. Two days ago, I just cleaned all the FT software off my computer because I ran into quads twelve times and into straight flushes maybe five times in 2.5 weeks. Anyway, the biggest pot I ever raked (it was multi-way, and it was a cooler for the other big stack, and no, it wasn't quads or a SF!), the biggest $ loser came over and shook my hand and said, "nice hand." He was a real gentleman in every way. ... I found that moment to be very instructive, so, two months later when I lost the biggest pot I ever lost (cooler), I did the same thing to the winner -- shook his hand as he was raking in my money. Cool thing is that that guy recognized me in a different casino a couple months later, and came up to me and asked me how I was running and wished me good luck. Your story reminded me of that. I don't know why.

I would say you got lucky for making a bad decision or the other players got unlucky.
Yeah, I know. I said I got really lucky.

People are playing out of their bankroll if any pot they can win or lose on that table can make them feel that much emotion. One time I saw a "man" cry because of a pot he lost on a $40 NL table. lol

So do you fold if you dont hit the Q, since you had to of known you were behind preflop?

I wasn't really sure what to do. I felt like I could beat a lot of hands that guy in the big blind might have had. He liked to make those big re-raises like that a lot. He showed hands earlier when he'd done it with hands like AK, AQ, or just about any pair. I actually almost pushed pre-flop because of that, but I just called his $100 more and then I wasn't gonna fold when that shortstack pushed for another $70. If the flop is low then I probably still go all-in and get busted so I got really lucky there.
