jeff_536 3
This is a question for anyone who's played the micro NL limits on stars...I've been playing the $10 NL tables and am doing fairly well on them. My BR looks like it's ready for the jump to the $25 NL tables (i know, TP/MM).Any differences? Are the players trickier? or are they the same donks with a slightly bigger bankroll? I havent played 10$NL but can tell you the 25$ NL is very beatable. donkies are everywhere. especailly more so as of late with Party closing.

Ive played a few sessions of $25 NL lately on stars and its dumbfouding. i was basically playing smash strat, drunk one night to pass the time with a 20$ buyin, and shoved KK in 2nd pos and had K7o call me for like $18. ggsir. his reason? it was my 1st or 2nd hand at th table and he said he "has" to callw ith anything better than Q7o statistically.lol

I used to play on a daily basis on stars a few years ago and when I came back about a year later I noticed that some of the guys who I saw playing with me all the time back in the day who were pretty good had moved up a level or two. I think it's very common for people who start beating the level they are at to want to move up to try to increase their winnings. With that being said, there are also still a lot of terrible players at 25$ NL, but not nearly as many as there were 2-4 years ago. I actually have some really great strategies, but I don't really want to educate too much

nagual 1
ok. i'm new here so i'm gonna ask.when you say 25$ NL you mean the 10/25 cent blinds cash table? If yes that table is very easy on stars.
Devilkin 0
I just made the same leap ($25PL Omaha H/L and $25NL HE) and its about the same level of play. Three or four to a raised pot, so drawing hands still pay well. Play good hands in position and you will be ready for the jump to the next level in a month or two.GL! nagual 1
thanks for clearing that up guys.I play the $25NL or $50NL or $100NL on stars and the level of play is really only much better at the $100NL. Everything else is about the same.

UncleCollins 0
$25 NL Hold'em on stars isn't much different than $10 NL Hold'em. Very beatable game. If you've moved up from $10 NL Hold'em than you should be able to move up to $50 NL Hold'em with just as much ease. Oh, and just so you know, $50 NL Hold'em isn't much different than $25 NL Hold'em or $10 NL Hold'em - all are very easily beaten. Good luck.
compuease 0
Hey not sure if you remember me or not but I and my son came to one of your home games about 18 months or so ago. Several of us make the trip to Niagara and/or Seneca almost weekly, playing 1/2 NL, 2/4 LHE and sometimes Crazy Pineapple at Seneca. Definitely recommend Seneca, free drinks, nicer room, better staff, etc, etc. 1/2 is about the same for difficulty..... Only drawback is the wait at peak times at the border although typically only 10 min.Seneca call ahead is 877-873-6322 and Niagara or Fallsview is 888-946-3255. Just ask for respective poker room and they put you through.
