I was just reading Phil Gordon's book and it said that you 4K/8K players may only be trying to make 1/10 to 1/4 of a big bet per hour. Would you say that's about accurate over the long haul?

Those figures are a joke. Everybody on the net makes more by 400-tabling the $3/$6 game at Party. :D

i just wanna let u know its really cool you are posting this stuff DN, since all we fans get is hearsay. it would be cool if you posted like who was the big winner for each session in the big game too.

Daniel, just wondering if you're gonna make it a point to play more cash games when the new Casino opens up(or if you have some kinda time goals you have to play for the casino). Any other of the big game players gonna play there, or will it probably just be you?

Granted, the sample size is too small, but dividing this data into limits, you get:1500-3000 $6,514.29/hr.2000-4000 $6,600.00/hr.4000-8000 $826.92/hr. Playing in the biggest game just looks like a bad idea: You're risking too much to win too little, whereas you can risk less and win more in the slightly smaller games. Anyway, I guess it's not always about money.

Daniel, I realize you may not be able to do this due to privacy concerns, but it would be great if you could post a sample hand or two from every session. I really enjoyed reading that Omaha hand in a past journal (even if Gus' play was a little bewildering). Thanks

Hmmm, I wonder what your hourly earn is for tournaments, would be an interesting comparison.

thanks daniel for giving us a glipse inside ultra high limit games. A couple of questions.1) without naming names, are they players who are consistant losers in the 4k/8k game?2) How often do rich tourist (players who are not world class) buy in and sit in the ultrahigh games?

Stay to 5-7 hour sessions, when you go 8+ you lose, but I'm guessing you knew that already  :)
I think he only plays 8+ hours because he's already stuck. I and most poker players have been known to do that from time to time as well.

The thing is this is the same game. There is rarely a 2000-4000 game running next to a 4000-8000 game if ever. It's all the "big game" they drop the stakes to accomodate some players at times.

He's told us about the longest of the sessions, and he was stuck over a mil at one point. I have a feeling the losing sessions are longer for that reason....he's stuck and trying to get even.

Daniel I am only 14 years old,but I think I am very good for my age even though I am up only about 600 dollars in poker for the year.I just wanted to ask you a question, do you think you are beter at no limit or limit poker? And, Do you think you have made more in tournaments or cash games.Your recent win at the 2004 Borgota Open made you 1million+ dollars alone.I think you are a great player.Good luck in future tournys.

......does anyone else realize how cool this is? Even ten years ago, this would be impossible to see? Thanks, Daniel. I know I'm not gonna be playing 4k/8k ever, but it's very interesting to get a realistic look at the experience.

From an Architectural point of view, it looks like a big piece of brown crap. I thought it would be a lot nicer on the outside. I'm sure it will look a lot nicer on the inside than the outside and will offer great service to make up for it. 99% of people don't care what it looks like from an Architectural point of view anyway.

Piece of brown crap? What do you really feel?Oh, and it's vegas...outside architecture has to be important with all of the theme casinos.MGM Grand, Bellagio, and the Palms also look tremendous from the exteriorWynn isn't that bad from the outside :PThough it doesn't catch your eye as nicely as a lot of the other casinos
