  1. And evidently he also parted the Red Sea!
  2. You saw my brother recently though, right? Weren't you at my parents' place saying goodbye to Pilot for the last time?
  3. LOLOL.... I totally forgot about the God/Jesus/Moses thing! I gotta send this thread to him.... Barasso.. lol.Louis
  4. Yeah, I know, I was just messing around.BTW - After that ridiculous loss to the Habs I'm jumping off the bandwagon already. I don't think I've ever seen the Leafs win a game in overtime or in a shootout. Geez...Louis
  5. Oh, I'm sure I could write a 900-page book called "Serge's Embarrassing Moments"... but I'll respect his privacy and refrain! ;)Okay, I'll tell you one embarrassing thing... Did you know he has a non-sexual crush on Rick Vaive??!! Lol...LouisPS - He'll respond by telling you I had one on Wendel Clark, which I freely admit
  6. That is so funny that they're having trouble believing it. I wouldn't believe it either I suppose.I was actually thinking about it a little more, and was wondering if it was 6 or 7 in a row, and not 8. I guess, anything more than 2 is ridiculous anyhow! Serge, you remember me talking about it right? Do you remember how many it was? I was trying to recall all the hands, but I couldn't remember them all.It was definitely at least one pocket 10s losing to a pocket 3s. Two other times it was Kings. One Bob mentioned, the other was when I bet the river card blind, and the guy with the smaller set C
  7. Odds, shmodds. It happened. And it was consecutive. During that time period, I don't think I had a single set-over-set hold up. It was truly a nightmare.Don't forget that you're calculating odds based on long-run probabilities. The fact is, the cards were not aware that I had lost 7 consecutive flopped top sets. The "long run" probabilities work out overall, but not for specific individuals in the short term.Louis
  8. Oh, I just couldn't resist registering on the forum so I can respond to the above allegations! :)Yes, it's true, I was an emotional wreck at the poker table, and had no business playing the game. And yes, as Serge pointed out, I did in fact make money playing, but eventually that slowed down quite a bit after many players improved their game and I didn't.Regarding this bad beat described by Bob -- believe it or not, that happened to me 8 times over a span of 2 months. No exaggeration. On eight (yes, 8) separate occasions I flopped TOP SET while someone else at the table flopped a smaller set.
