Iused to flip people off every once in a while, but maybe ten years ago I flipped off the wrong guy, and he tailgated me on the free way for almost 10 miles, screaming at me, fist out the window, etc. He got off at the same exit ramp I did, but didn't follow me after that. It was the West Coast relative of Scroom giving me a reality check. That loser had mommy issues. No chance a woman could ever make me that mad. Those things aren't cheap (decent ones will cost as almost much as my bike) I'm really hoping I can steal my brothers USA leather jacket from him until then though. Rest assured I'll run any purchases by this thread first. Yes, heading up to the Twin Cities. Either chill or go and have a drink tonight when I get in. Tomorrow- workout, bike to a coffee place, come home and shower, drive to a state park to hike for a few hours with girl BFF and dog, rest, dinner at a pizza place maybe with some other friends, ???? Saturday - unplanned but girl BFF works all day so me and her husband (also a good friend) will find something to do. Sushi at night with some friends, probably drinks after Sunday - brunch, stop by a different friends place to see them before I leave, go home 2 Link to post Share on other sites

The coworker who just returned from maternity leave emailed me back saying she noticed the three letters at the end of my name (CPA) and congratulated me. I like her so I didn't go passive aggressive in letting her know it's been over 3 years now, but thanks. Forgot to mention that after being back in CA almost 3 years I finally went down and got my CA drivers license last Friday. I'd put it off partly from a guttural avoidance of the DMV and partly because I was concerned about passing the eye test (I can see, but not well enough to read an eye chart, out of my right eye) So, after acing the written test I go for the eye test and they say "read line 1 from chart A with both eyes" no problem "Cover one eye and read chart A, line two" covered my right eye and read the line no problem. Then quickly memorized line 3 "Now cover the other eye and read chart A, line 3" "LPOEF" "Do you wear contacts?" "Nope" "Wow, great job" Should receive the actual license any day then going to finally buy the pistol I've been wanting. Link to post Share on other sites

Never brined chicken before but have been wanting to try it so I made up a basic brine, added 4 or 5 crushed garlic cloves, some thyme sprigs and a couple tablespoons of a poultry seasoning I bought recently. The thighs are swimming in the goodness in the fridge so we'll see if it makes a difference. Link to post Share on other sites

Not sure on another side yet but will probably just do some rice a roni for ease of prep. Did I mention I've been thinking hard about buying a boat? Kind of ironic I suppose with the drought and all but there are still plenty of places to go within an hour or so and figured the folks that don't want to go too far would be selling their boats cheap. Found a,Cobalt 20' walk through bow with an inboard/outboard for $3,000 about 20 minutes away which is almost exactly what I'm looking for.
