  1. I found this laughable the first time I read about it. A bet is a bet. The appropriate thing that should have been done all along is reach a settlement with Ivey. Pay something they could afford to pay. If Phil feels like they should pay the entire thing, then that is his right, and they should work out some terms. I think I would have made the phone call to Eric Lindgren before I decided to play Phil for money, just to find out how he has been playing.

  3. Player Magazine is devoted to the gaming indystry in general. I would have thought both magazines had the same editor. "All In" just focuses more on poker, while "Player" looks at all casino games. I like them both.
  4. I thought 10 was correct. So when figuring percentages do I say I was 1to 5.2 or 1 to 2.9? I want to improve this part of my game, so that I can figure these immediately. Do you count the cards in the deck or the cards left in the deck? You really never know if someone folded your 10, 5, or either of your other 2 8's.Thanks for the replies.
  5. Entered a MTT today with $100 buy-in. Sometimes I see people play really loose in these things early on, then after the 1st hour, you only see people playing top 10 hands. Every once in a while someone will be on the short-stack and make a desperation play late.First hand, dealt 88 (two off the button). I raise to $40.
