Duplicated Videos With Near Similar Analysis

this must have been mentioned before... but as I'm waiting for the slowroll of DN's sunday million 1 part at a time for 2.1 months (1 vid per week for 9 weeks) I started checking out the private games...it looks like there's 3-4 videos that are basically identical.certainly the following:Jacqueline's position problemAlex makes risky river raiseJacqueline stretches her pre-flop calling rangehave almost no difference in Daniel's analysis of the hands. He focuses a little more on Alex's river raise but not much more needed to be said since he stated that the first time in Jacqueline's position problemwas this just filler in to start the site? why don't you remove that stuff when new comes in so it doesn't leave a bad taste in end-user mouths?

I have to agree. Those hands are examples of hands that need more than one example. I hope we see several vids that have more than one example!Just like the Sunday Million SB. I was lucky in that I watched every hand he played. I really didn't need to see the cards because I know what he was doing and it was pretty cool!I'm deep into a small rebuy with almost $50k in the pool and I didn't do a rebuy and only the addon. I have done nothing but what he tells you to do in the Sunday Mill and I'm 25 out of a start of over 4000. It works in all tournaments. I only made one small adjustment for myself and it works live and online. I said I wasn't going to play anymore live for till the first of the year but played Monday in a bounty and just did the new example of SB he shows and placed 13th. (unlucky 13th) It'll take a tiny bit of adjustment from my other game but this gives me another way to play SB and I'm loving it! That's what I'm talking about in more than one example. He is showing two examples of SB now and they are both really cool for the style I am playing.Don't get too frustrated with the lack of content now. I can tell you that the stuff IS coming in this time and it's going to look great. I was a little worried too but not anymore.

interesting. I never thought to make a site where I repeat myself at different parts of the same video to make money. although infomercials do that all the time and I hear they are rich.

At first, I had wondered the same thing: Why show the same hand in multiple videos? I think PokerVT chose to isolate a particular topic, error or misconception in each segment. Although the hands are the same in multiple videos, it's actually 9 different hands. It is one hand from the viewpoint of each player based on their individual skill level. Seeing the hand from the amateur point of view, then seeing the same hand thought out from a professional's viewpoint shows the differences in the two thought processes. Splitting the videos also allows for subscribers to review a specific situation, which is easier to identify based on the titles. There is some logic to everything. One need only to put some thought to it.

of course, just like they are rolling out 1 video over 9 weeks in order to keep users subscribing. just because there's logic, doesn't mean it is the right decision. so they split the videos to ensure beginners do not get confused, and then roll out high stakes videos that a beginner might never sit at a high stakes table.in any event, i was just blowing off some steam. at first I could not believe anyone could have anything bad to say about the site, but after you spend a few hundred to sign up and go through most of the videos, especially a few months ago when new content was scarce, I now understand.if it wasn't for JCarver coming on board and DN's recent increase in video content, this forum might have just been a page with a notice about closed doors.

As per Daniel's post, the sunday million series will be entirely rolled out in no longer than a month. I'd agree with you that this would be somewhat unreasonable IF it was the only video of Daniel's being released at one time. We want to keep everyone satisfied and releasing a variety of videos discussing a multitude of topics is how we feel it is best to serve the customer base at large. We do have a substantially larger userbase than what the activity in this forum would necessarily suggest and not everyone is looking for pure tournament content.Edit to add: Also, in regards to the OP, repetition is obviously a component of teaching in terms of topic reinforcement. Perhaps we should have occasionally done a better job in terms of disguising said repetition but we should hardly be called out on the fact that we have videos with a concept overlap. However, in terms of the actual videos you cited, it seems to me there is a significantly different focus on each video as there were several huge mistakes made by the players in the hand.
