nritchi3 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Share Posted March 16, 2006 Im so god damn sick of hearing "Why don't you just go back to Canada" or other derogatory remarks towards Canadians while playing online poker. I don't quite understand why people feel as though its ok to make fun of someones nationality when it has nothing to do with the situation. If put a bad beat on you feel free to call me a fish, donkey, idiot or any other choice phrase you like but what does me being Canadian have to do with it. And no offense but the only country that i've ever heard do this is Americans. I had one guy today get mad at me then he won a pot against me and starting saying how Canada sucks and America rules. Last time i checked i wasn't part of the Canadian poker team and he wasn't part of Team America. We're playing poker not representing our country at the Olympics here. Did Canada do something to offend the U.S. that has all the americans pissed off at us or something. Ive played poker against people from all over the world and ive never heard anyone else make fun of Canada or any other country other than Americans. The worst thing is most americans are great people, but these idiots give them a bad name all over the world. So for all the great americans out there when this starts happening in your presence you need to step in and tell the person that what there doing is wrong and embarasing. He's there and you wave occasionally to him, but for the most part he's quiet and doesn't bother anyone.Which is why you make fun of him and call him a serial killer behind his back...cause really..What's he gonna do about it?
