Now that i've had a few drinks, I'm ready to admilt that the reason I dont post more is suited.

I hate every fiber of his being. He's awful and everything he writes is wrong, coupled with being annoying. Its uncanny how awful he is. If he was around when this thread was thriving, he would have killed it. Thankfully, he wasnt.

Maybe in the real world, he's not so awful (evidence says otherwise) but here, he makes me want to fight. Nobody makes me want to fight. Its beyond weird. I almost feel bad, but I dont

I was actually hoping for the woman from Indiana. I think Trump screwed up by not picking her. She is only 46, and a pro-life woman, which means that dems would absolutely hate her while massively energizing the GOP base. I'm not suggesting that Kavanaugh is bad, but he won't be as polarizing as the woman would have been.

I mean, you can claim that's what I was saying if you want, even though I didn't speak at all about ability. At that point, everyone is equally great, and all things being equal, positioning yourself to energize the base and perform better in the mid-terms is definitely important enough to factor in the decision.

But if you hate women that badly, and don't think Notre Dame law professor Amy Barrett is qualified for the job because of her gender, I guess that's cool. (Did I do that right?)

Trump siding with Putin over his own US intelligence agencies on a global stage.

Neat.

my guess is that they have many things on Trump. Probably have video of him with underage prostitutes from his Moscow trip (he probably didn't know they were underage) plus they have a ton of financial dirt on him. A standard sex honey trap shouldn't be that powerful on Trump but with underage girls it might be.

I used to think the notion that Putin had something on Trump to be somewhat far-fetched, but I honestly don't know what else could explain what we have witnessed.

There is nothing to gain politically and a hell of a lot to lose by going on the world stage and acting like a complete cuck.

You realize that the fix was in for Kavanaugh due to a backroom w/ Kennedy. Also:

In 1998, Kavanaugh wrote extensively on the matter of impeaching a president, writing that independent counsel investigations can take "too long," easily become "politicized," and investigations can go beyond their original scope. He also seemed unconvinced that a president can even be indicted while in office.

"Whether the Constitution allows indictment of a sitting President is debatable," he said.

Over a decade later, Kavanaugh reiterated this belief in the Minnesota Law Review saying, "a serious constitutional question exists regarding whether a President can be criminally indicted and tried while in office."
He also said criminal investigations affecting a sitting president are "time-consuming and distracting" and should be deferred until after the end of a president's term.

Trump's behaviour makes a whole lot more sense when you ask yourself: "what the hell would someone who is guilty as **** do in this situation?"
