I'm not sure if giving away prizes is considered gambling. To my understanding, there must be "consideration." Something given in return for something else, though I could be wrong. Where you didn't put up any money to play poker, ie. entry fee or cash buy in where a rake will be taken there is no consideration. I rolled through Denver back in August and almost got into a Denver Poker Tour event. It travels a circuit from town to town and gives away gift certificates for restaurants, etc.... for placing in the money. It also qualifies you for a higher level tourney. The bars host these leagues

Weren't we discussing the possibility of Doyles Room moving to DGN because we knew Tribeca was going to pull out of the US market? Seems like I read that some where back during the wait for the conversion from Ongame to DGN.

I've been thinking about this very thing. Thought about opening a savings / checking acct. in a Canadian bank and making wire deposits which are legal as long as they are within limits. Do you have to be a citizen to open a foreign account? Any ideas?

It's ok to think about a hand once in a while but I hate those guys that think every decision needs 2 minutes or more. For **** sakes think when it's not your turn.Damn str8. If you haven't thought through at least 3 or 4 scenerios by the time the action gets to you, get the hell off the table and let someone sit down who is prepared to play.

I'm no math whiz myself but we saw this on HSP, too. The longer Mike plays the more he is apt to make a bad decision. DN said he "gets tired." His problem wasn't the all in when he got busted. His problems started when he called DN's 11,000 all in when DN had the str8. Mike asked him point blank if he had the 10 7 and Daniel gave it away as plain as day yet Mike called. When you're the chip leader you can make plays like that but you don't throw your chips in against a made hand, do you? Mike knew he had the str8 and flushed the hand down the toilet.

Have you seen the Best Buy commercial where the couple comes into the room and the hot babe clicks on the plasma and it's a fireplace, table is set perfectly, mood music playing......What in the hell does Best Buy sell that invokes that kind of reaction out of a woman? I got that reaction one time. It took a rather large diamond to produce such a reaction. I gotta know... WHAT IS IN THAT BOX?

I'm having trouble getting behind a Bond that also plays an evil skinjob Cylon on Battlestar Galactica. Too spooky for me, man.
