Today's Field: About 210 Players Sunday, August 24, 2008 02:49 PM PDT A preliminary count shows 24 tables in action, with a maximum capacity of 216 players. With a few empty seats, we'll approximate the field at 210. We'll be posting the official numbers and prizepool when they are released later in the day.First Elimination: Some Random Guy Named Phil Ivey Sunday, August 24, 2008 02:59 PM PDT About 30 minutes into the first level, Phil Ivey moved all in under the gun for more than 20,000 -- a bit of an overbet. Action folded around to Brian Rast, who paused for a second, and Ivey said he didn't even look at his cards. Rast called, and everyone else folded. Rast showed pocket kings, and Ivey flipped over 3-2 offsuit. Ivey's hand should crack pocket kings approximately one time in seven, but it didn't happen here. The best hand held up, and just like that, Phil Ivey was eliminated from the tournament. Perhaps he had better plans?Meanwhile, Brian Rast jumps to an early chip lead with about 51,000 in chips.

Funny how a tournament with a $10K buyin and where first will pay over a million is so boring for Ivey that he decided to do that.
