i also keep the lead on the turn.
Even if we re-raise on the flop? I think I'd rather push the flop than re-raise the flop and push this nasty turn.

It does? How?
By raising to over 1.00 on the flop, you have over half of your stack in, and can get the rest in on the turn (you can't fold just because the A hit with like 52% of your stack in).
