New Software Compatible With Macbooks?

Recommended Posts

Info,I wouldlike to know if I can run the new FCP software on a Macbook by Apple. They are Intel Core 2 Duo laptops? Thanks.
I'm not an expert on Macs but I believe the Intel Macs will allow you to run Windows programs such as the new FCP software. There are others in the forum who might be able to give you the specifics.

Even though the processor is an Intel, it's still running the Mac OS...In other words, you need to be running windows on the macbook to run any windows software. I think I've seen a forum post somewhere that they are developing a mac version for us to use... but until then...

There are options...If you have a MacTel -- i.e. a MacBook. The intel chips have opened up a huge world of options. I've been using parallels with great success.Check out one of these sites: boot camp poker or Poker Mac- for info on setting up parallels and getting FCP or another PC site on it.Very easy.

I was going to start a new thread, but then I found this one -- BUMPSo, can any of the FCP folks say whether there's an OS X port in the works? Full Tilt's got one and it's quite nice. I run Vista on my MBP, but I'm using Bootcamp instead of Parallels, and I prefer to run OS X when I'm at home.

There are plans for Mac cabable software but nothing will happen in the short term.

I miss playing at FCP, but I'm locked out because I use MacOSX on a Power PC Mac. But I think Apple gave you guys a good reason yesterday to speed up development of that Mac version of the software. Since the iPhone will be running MacOSX, I would think it would be possible to develop a version that would allow us to play on the new phones. Now that would be ubercool.
