  1. What do we do if UTG raises? I know it's uncharacteristic of him. Is that the only reason we're betting?
  2. I think preflop fold is about right as well.Does anyone call the flop with the intentions of raising the turn on a non-terrible card? Is this flatout wrong?
  3. Aren't we going about representing a flush in the wrong way? Do you usually play your flush draws this way? I think raising the flop makes sense if we're "drawing" to a diamond on the turn. Am I wrong? I just think this is a very good time for a free card play. I guess I'm assuming villain thinks hard about his opponent though, which he probably doesn't and therefore this flush representation might work.
  4. I think the waiting list difficulties are enough to turn me away from it. After I clear my bonus, I don't think I'll be returning. It is kinda nice though, seem to have nice tournaments, which I haven't really participated in though.
  5. kqs isnt marginal..is one of the stronger hands. If you check out sshe then ull find that it is one of the few that can actually be 3bet from some positions and one of the few that can be raised from all positions. If you arent raising it then you are probably losing betsDon't get me wrong, i know KQs is strong. I just meant it might be more of a marginal holding in this situation, if that makes any sense. I'm never limping with KQs, but when people are playing this aggressive I get a little worried. I think you're often up against AA/KK/QQ/AK/AQ, any of which really hurt you. I'm not saying f
  6. Hey Tim,I think folding to a bet on the river is cool too, I don't think villain will bet with something we beat, and probably doesn't fold to a raise. However, if we plan to call on the river, how is a checkraise on the turn? Is that like ultra-donk, checkraising flop and checkraising turn, checkfolding river? I'm just running it through my head, maybe if we do this, we get a checkbehind on river as villain might be worried we'll do it for the third time? This just goes REALLY shitty when the villain hits his king on the river and bets it. I'm not saying you're wrong at all, since I think fol
  7. Is folding preflop real bad here? Not saying you did the wrong thing, just honestly wanna know. AQ/AK seems to be in play ? Does the fact that there are 3 posters change our opinion a lot? Under normal circumstances (no posters) what's the best play here? Personally I don't think calling a couple more preflop is so bad, but don't we get in trouble when the flop comes with a king or queen, or even worse something like AK2r? I've heard Tom McEvoy say that the money lost preflop is often insignificant playing marginal hands, it's the money lost after the flop that counts. I'm paraphrasing here, a
  8. Yeah, weird man, I only count like 12-13 too. I used bisons converter, though I really wouldn't be surprised if that was Paradise's fault, the software sucks. I appreciate your replies guys. You've both already guessed villain's holding, he had me beat the whole way, which is why I was wondering if I played it correctly. Seems like a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" one of those lose-lose situations. Thanks for the reply about betting the flop screech. Out of curiousity, if it's me and SB HU, is a flop bet bad? Since I'm contributing 50% to the pot, with a 35% chance to win; assuming I
  9. Screech,I know I did it and all, but can you help me understand why my flop bet is good? I'm not saying it's wrong, but I don't understand the "theory" behind it i guess. Don't I want to see the cheapest turn (and possibly river if the turn misses) i can here? Or do I bet the flop so that they'll (hopefully) check to me on the turn? Also, let's say if the flop gets checked through, aren't a lot of weak aces going to take a stab at the pot on the turn, which I can then raise if I make my flush, or call profitably (I think) if I miss?

  11. Good analysis copernicus. I think you're right with the fold, there are better times to get my money in. Since there doesn't seem to be much interest in this hand, I'll go ahead and post up some results.I bet 250 on the flop, he raised to 500. I thought I was good here, and I was kind of tilting because he had already kicked my buddy out playing a trash hand. After his raise I pretty much insta-pushed. I threw my whole tournament-life on the line here, because I thought I had the best hand, and I'd seen him call with junk before. I never really put him on a range of hands, or thought through m
  12. Hey guys,I played in a tournament last night, with a very weird structure. Personally I didn't like it, but there was an interesting hand that came up that I figured I'd ask for help on.There are 2 rounds in this tournament. In each round there are only 2 blind levels 25/50 and 50/100, the chipstacks start at 3000 each round and a round lasts an hour. Regardless of what happened to you the previous round, you still get to play in round two. Both of your scores are added together and the top six move to the final table along with two "wildcards" who are drawn randomly from the losers (I hated t
  13. Great replies fellas. I guess this is a clear fold on the flop (unless I want to get frisky, but I'm not good enough for that yet!). I've also realized that this is a poor preflop call. It's not something i do regurlarly, so I'm not too worried. I'll stop calling with trash in EP-MP
  14. PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is MP2 with T:spade:, J:diamond:. UTG calls, 2 folds, BB checks.Flop: (4.40 SB) A:club:, 4:heart:, J:heart: (4 players)BB checks, UTG bets, Hero folds..Ok, I realize this preflop call is really loose. This table usually had 6-8 limpers on average with a preflop raise percentage of zilch (rarely). Now, keep in mind I'm new to limit. My pot odd counting ability is poor, half the time I think I have the odds to call when i don't and vice-versa. So, is folding this flop really weak? Is it an easy call/raise? Any explanation would be

After we cap the turn, do I have to slow way down on the river? Maybe bet-call or even check-call? I don't ever fo
