First $1.20 Challange

This is how it works.Buy-in is $10.Each player will play up to 10 $1.20 45 man SnG tourneys between February 1st and February 11th.The SnG tourneys can be any game and they can be turbos.The competition will begin at 12:00am EST on February 1st, and end on February 11th at 11:59pm EST. In the event that February 11th comes around and some players have not finished all 10, they may only play one AFTER 11:59pm if they register and post the tourney ID# BEFORE the deadline. Even though the $1.20 won't start till after the deadline, as long as you post it BEFORE the deadline, you are ok.You must post the tourney ID# of the $1.20 you are in BEFORE IT STARTS, someone will then qutoe the post to confirm. Once you're eliminated you must again post in the thread, and again someone needs to quote it to confirm.The quoting helps eliminate the possibility of cheating. Because if someone is eliminated quickly, they could try and edit their post to say the are in a different $1.20 that hasn't started yet.So even if you are not in this please help us by confirming things for us. When someone says the are in tourney #XXXXXXXX please check that tourney # and confirm the player is in. Once the player busts, again ANYONE can search the tourney # and confirm the player busted in the place they say. All you have to do is QUOTE the post that way, if they change their post, the quoted portion of the confirm post wont change. The point system was discussed in a diffenent thread and no one could agree. I set this one up for only 10 SnG's so it will be a short one like a tester. Any changes to make it better can be implemented in the next version.

Looks like fun, if I had more time I'd definately play. But with school, work, hockey, the 4.40 challenge..I dont think its possible. GL to all those entered. Hope it turns out great and carries on for months

The problem with the current structure is that there isn't enough reward for going deep. Winning shouldn't be based solely on average finish - there should be some added bonus for actually cashing. Within the current structure it is conceivable that someone could win the challenge without actually cashing in a single tourney if they consistently bust out in the low teens. That doesn't seem right.I'll play regardless, but I think there should be some jump in points when you reach the cash and increased points for going deep. Where did you come up with these points? And this will be the new point system since you are the first one to say you will play.

Just made them up. The numbers don't have to come from anywhere as long as they serve the purpose you want them to serve. I personally think the point system should reflect a bonus for going deeper into the cash, so that's how I came up with the system.By the way, what is the reward structure for the challenge?

So unlike the $4.40 where you points for all finishes in this we only get points for 1-10? I didn't see the previous point structure so just checking. I am interested but not until everything is solidified as there are obviously changes taking place still.

I added the lower level points. I am not going to make anymore changes to the challange this time. This one will only last a week as a tester. After we play this short one, we can have a good discussion on the good and bad things from this and adjust the challange accordingly. Thanks for the input guys. I really think this will be alot of fun once the wrinkles are all ironed out.

Maybe you should have a max amount of people that can play so that you can work out the reward structure before you get people signing up. People will probably sign up more willingly if they know how much they can get back.

My emails were like that too. You can change your email language in you options somewhere.

Haha it was set as 'Suomi', isnt that Finnish or something. That mus have been a default setting as ive never touched that option before.
