Now, first and foremost...I will not claim to be a poker expert by any means...but I still would consider myself to be an above average player who plays any game...except Razz...I tend to play that a tad bit below par...anywho...I figured I'd throw in a profile of Perry Friedman...a poker player in which many of you may not have heard of. (I'll try to not make you look bad Perry...in case you read this :club: ) Perry is a part time professional who won his first and only WSOP Bracelt in 2002 in Pot Limit Omaha High Low Split (Which also happens to be my game of choice) Although he doesn't play in the highest stakes of games, I believe Perry plays appropriately within his means. Perry even cashed in this years WSOP in the 2000 Texas No Limit Event...I won't give away his exact result since it will be broadcasted August 30th (My mothers birthday...you know you care...lol)...he generally plays sit and go's and low limit tables on FTP...such as 2/4 Stud and 2/4 Texas NL...but he also plays Razz, and Omaha High Low...I think one of the things that makes him such a well balanced player is the fact that he can play a variety of games with no problem. His talent is much more diverse (not to say better) than the professionals who stick with just one game. Besides his track record in tournaments (you can find a list of cashes at the Hendon Mob's site...I'm just wayyyy too lazy to post the link) which is quite impressive...he also maintains a friendly and professional manner at all times. He even goes out of his way to offer advice to observers and fans alike. He and Chris Ferguson remain to be the only 2 FTP Professionals that I have seen take the time out to even play a Play Money table. I think Perry Friedman is not only a class act, but a fine gentleman...truly one of the lesser known ambassadors for the game of poker. So that is my brief profile (hopefully not too boring) of Perry Friedman...perhaps I'll have more to say at a later date...

I don't think that Perry really considers himself a pro. He is a college buddy of Phil Gordon's and you can read about a lot of their antics on the tiltboys website. I met him a couple years ago at BARGE (which I stumbled upon accidentally) and he was a nice guy who just enjoys poker.

haha...actually I've chatted with Perry on several occasions...he considers himself to be (rightfully so) a semi-professional. More importantly...he just geniunely seems like a class act guy.

this has prob been discussed somwhere else, but it makes you wonder how FTP decides what players to add to their 'Pros' list, i mean i could think of many more people that deserve their sponsorship more than perry friedman....and there are other FTP 'pros' that are really out of place among the top names Ivey, Lindgren, Harman etc.

Perry got in on the fact that he and phil gordon are friends and that he has a one more WSOP bracelet than PG.
