  1. You know, I totally agree with you on baiting and trapping opponents, it just depends on the player. I'm a bit at fault here for not mentioning that this was a $5 buy-in Sit N' Go, where it's best to tend to fast play and overplay large hands purposely when you believe the flop has hit these players. Let's not forget the majority of these low limit players will disregard odds at action flops as such.Against a better player at a higher buy-in I'd probably throw out the bait on a set or two-pair with a small bet somewhere in the 500 ballpark at the flop.Bottom line though, I'm definitely wear
  2. Only thing I want to add is I think a set or two pair is a very possible holding off a QJ9 flop and if I did realistically flop a hand of that size I'd make the SAME exact play on the flop. QJ9 two clubs is a terrible board to slow play or small bet a set or two pair with and it's likely that your opponent got some piece of it -whether it be a big draw or pair. I agree with Dead money and everyone else otherwise though. Getting involved with the chip leader was most certainly a mistake and this was the first time him and I had a confrontation so yes, I do agree that the play was a bit unn
  3. Thank you. I'm writing this down as we speak.
  4. My bad on that. I didn't double it, I raised 450 more (750 total) to his 300.
  5. 27 Man Sit N' Go 75/150 blinds Stack: 3,500 in chipsDown to about 11 players at a 6 handed table and you're in the BB. The chip leader who's UTG with about 11k doubles the blinds from 150 to 300 total and everyone folds around. You find a monster Q 2 and decide to make a play and reraise 450 more out of position in an attempt represent strength and the chip leader calls. The flop rolls off Q J 9 and I lead out for a bet a little over the size of the pot for 1,500 and the chip leader hesitated for a few and called. The turn came the 8 and I pushed my remaining 2k or so in and
  6. As far as the general audience of poker goes I'd put Gavin Smith up there. Of course those in touch with the poker world may know of him, but I don't think he gets the respect he deserves from the the average viewer. Pros, different story.Minh Ly would also contend in my book. With both these guys though, it's more of a problem of underexposure by the media (Ly more so than Smith).
  7. Leading followed by coming over the top of a player raising with 53 with 10 high on the A56 board deserves a shout out.The guy Lome, who came over the top of Layne with 45 suited preflop, really had no reason to check the flop unless he was planning a check-raise. I mean the play was right there and he didnt follow through til the turn.
  8. One day it's depressing and the next it's the best thing ever. You played fine, got your sympahty and vented out the frustration. Now sit back, suck on a strawberry coolata and head down to JC Penny and unleash your wild side with one-time only sales and affordable prices that won't let you down.
  9. It sucks when every thread turns into a "Who can try and be the wittiest on the poker forum". Don't quit your day jobs.
  10. Actaully, they are instant, you can click on the hand number on the top left of the screen as soon as the hand is over and it posts everything. I usually just leave the window open so I can recall previous plays from people. It opens a windown and starts a running list of hand histories.I checked that and it posts everything but the hand itself unless they've showed.Nope, it shows any hand that calls the river and is mucked or folded to the BB uncontested. They don't have to show. I use it all the time.I just checked and I'm not seeing this. I did fold the 47 in the SB but other players had l

  12. Any possible way I can find the table number or last tournament I played in on stars? If not I'm going to have to play stalker and wait for the guy to play another tournament.
  13. Today on stars my suspicion shot up pretty damn fast of a player named "winonenow' at a 6 man Sit N' Go table. To start things off, the player called out my hand (KQ) when I and the rest of the table checked down to the river when I put thought into and called a small bet he put out with K high. Although I had not raised the blinds preflop, I am aware that it is possible for a good player to read into a player's actions and guess his hand. - This instance didn't bother me too much. It was on the next hand in which I quickly became concerned about this player when I had folded a 74 in the
  14. this would be the dumbest heads up ever. you always see these guys like Gracz making "great calls" but they never can make a laydown. Like that Q8 vs the QJ of Lee recently on tv.This match would be whoever gets top pair cracked first losses. Dumbest match ever.Anyway i think the best would be Negreanau and Layne Flack. Both have great reading skills and I love their style of playHmmm...something tells me he doesn't like me. Dumbest possible match ever...yeah I highly doubt that.Phan being top ranked on Cardplayer this year isn't exactly a fluke, especially considering he has three 1st place
  15. Out of everyone right now I'd want to watch one of the two hottest young players right now go at it. That means Gracz and Phan in an all out No Limit slug fest.
