kennyg1966 0
I was just wondering how this game is played between friends...do the pros throw the money back and forth and wait for a rich fish to sit down and "gang" up on him.The group that DN runs in seems to be friends, so taking a mil or so from a friend in a few lucky nights in a row would be hard on a friendship.Or are all friendships put on hold at the poker room door?So playing with friends with anything other than tourny style just isn't alot of fun. At least if you're losing money, you're losing it to a friend.Okay, I suppose the 4000-8000 is different than the 1/2 played at home.......

spt24 0
I am sure this has been asked before, but I have never seen the answer. What is the rake on the 4,000-8,000 game? Or do they just pay for time? Or something else?

I know that in comparison to the 2/5 and 5/10 NL games there fee is a joke. And i do know that noone tips worth a shit.

I dont think they play the game with one and 5 dollar chips. When I play 4/8 ill throw a dollar or two to the dealer every pot I win but I dont except someone to throw a thousand dollars to the deal every hand thats a little ridiculus. The most I think per hand should be given to the dealer is 5 dollar tip on a hand and thats if its a big pot but thats just me.
daddypoker23 0
i believe the rake for the big game is either $10-15 per half hr of play

kent2233 0
and as for the what makes the game profitable, some random guy game in and lost 40k, it's people like that that make the game profitable, and semi-pros that think they are good enough for the game and aren't. FileError404 0
From Pokerworks:I hit another game or two and then I was off to Table 1. All those times I missed it in the last few months…no escape hatch tonight. $2,000-4,000 Mixed. Chau – 1s, Eli E. – 2s, Abe – 3s, Young stranger – 4s, Ted F. – 5s, Todd B. – 6s, David B. – 7s, Ralph P. – 8s.I announced, “Time Pot,” and dealt Omaha 8.Todd and David split the pot. I asked them if they wanted to split the Time. I thought Todd said he’d pay it as he threw me a $100 chip. I changed it and took $80 for Time. He corrected me and said he was paying $40. I apologized and explained that I thought he said he’d take care of it. He went with it. I’m not sure what I created or did there but he paid all of it. So I guess it's $10/head for each down (1/2h)
