live poker question

Recommended Posts

Im pretty much a newbie to live poker ive only really played in a casino once and a few home games 99% of my play is online. I play mostly 5/10 limit shorthanded. And im a winning player (3bb/hr) Everyone has said how much easier it is to beat live games compared to online games. Im probably gonna start going to the casino a lot more and im just wondering what level would be appropriate for me to play.

Welllllll ... it's going to depend somewhat on time of day, day of week, where the casino is, that kind of stuff, but overall, as a winning 5/10 6-max player you're not going to have any trouble skill-wise 'til much higher up. My advice, FWIW, is just play wherever your bankroll comfortably allows you to. Just remember to re-adjust to a full-ring, fish-filled mentality.

I'd probably play 10-20 and 20-40 if you can find a good game. The first time I played live, I was playing 3-6 online and felt very comfortable at the 10-20 level. :club:
