  1. About it being a pretty dumb post. More of just an update and I rarely if ever see Fischman playing HU. I am curious as to why so much HU. Is he practicing for a HU match? Maybe w/ one of our favorite player...
  2. posting that message, he just lost a HU match and lost his chips at the limit table and now appears to be done playing.
  3. Ok I know many of you are scott fischman fan's, but right now he is on Stars and is using the 'hide from search' feature (DL) and playing a bunch of Heads Up mathes (1k and 500) and sitting in a 100/200 limit table in between. To say that he is taking a beating would be an understatement. As I have been watching, he is 1 and 4 in the HU matches and is bleeding badly at the 100/200 Limit table. Sure this could be attributed to variance, but watching him play HU, he is not playing well at all, overplaying top pair no kick and heavily overplaying all of his draws. That seems to be his style in
  4. Why push here? You have a hand where, as previously stated, is losing to any bad ace. Yes you want the blinds, but if your read on your opponents is T/A, then why not just call the BB. If you trust your post-flop skills, then this is your best option. As even holding AK, as one of the blinds held, you are putting pressure on them, as your limp seems a bit suspicious (i.e. you may be trying to trap w/ a huge hand). Also, this gives you an option, that if your T/A opponents re-raises you all in after you limp, you can fold and make a stand later when you know you are not crushed. By limpin
  5. I just finished this book a few minutes ago. It is easily one of the best poker books (strategy or non-strategy) that I have read. The chapter on Ferguson was excellent and really shows what a calculated individual he is. Ferguson actually pre-thought about the decision as to whether or not he would celebrate his 2000 WSOP victory. The chapter on Men gave me a really sick feeling though, and cost me to question his integrity. Anyways, I am rambling now, but the book truly is an excellent read.L*
  6. I have not had a chance to read the responses yet, but I would think the 2 players you should seek out to ask would be JustBlaze and Aseem. I think that either of these guys could give you the best advice.L*
  7. acting very immaturish on PStars today. Not really heckling the guy, but the things he was typing were really unbecoming.L*
  8. I have seen him on Stars over the past few days. He was mostly in the 100/200$ limit table, but no one was on their today. So he was playing H@LL heads up and it was UGLY.Is this guy a winning player overall? I do not see how he can be.L*
  9. I just watched about a 2 hour session of HU between Mike the Mouth Matusow (mrpokejoke) and H@££INGGOL on Poker stars. They were playing in the $10/$20 NL table and H@££INGGOL took atleast 10K from Matusow. I was almost embarrassed for the mouth. He was thoroughly dominated in the HU match. It got so bad that as he deposited yet another (and would be his last) 2k all he kept doing with it is re-raising all in pre-flop. H@££INGGOL would raise to $60 and the mouth would go all in for 2K pre. This went on for about 10 hands until the last hand. H@££INGGOL raised to $60 again, the mouth re-raised
  10. Last night's money presentation was just re-damn-diculous! There really is not need for a 2 minute presentation that, before edits, probably lasted about 10 minutes. What's next? I can actually see them combing the Cirque Du Solel with poker and having some trapese hold'em games. Please cut out the hollywood and stick to the game. L*
  11. To hear Daniel's Opinion on this particular subject.
  12. NLHE and LHE are obviously 2 very different games. To classify one over the other in terms of difficulty is near impossible. The major difference between the 2 is the ability to win w/o a hand. This could go for or against you depending on your opponents and the limit you play. I have found that in NLHE bad players are rewarded often enough to have them continue making bad plays. In NL your main goal is to win a bunch of small pots and attempt to trap and take down a huge pot. It is easier to get off of bottom pairs with good kicker as someone could bet enough to represent to you that yo
  13. I am not sure what the last thread had to do with Appearance Fee's? This is the only issue I have, and it is with the Poker Pro's recieving an appearance fee from the tourney to come and play in the tourney. L*
  14. im not sure what level of pro your talking about but if the likes of Ivey, DN, gus and these big money winners, you really think they would change the way they played if they had to put up the 10k? its slightly more than 1 bet in there side game, I mean come on.Probably not, however, how is that fair to the average Joe that puts up his 10K to play in the same tourney? How sick would it be to have these "pro's" get in on a freeroll and have them win the whole thing? The reason poker is so popular now, is because everyday people see Chris Moneymaker and everyday guy win 2.5 million dollars. S
  15. Players are being exploited by ESPN, the Travel Channel, Fox Sports Network and any other channel that televises poker. It's as simple as that. Why are they being exploited? If you said that college athletes were being exploited I would agree. Pro Athletes, I could almost see the argument (well I would atleast listen) this is because at these events, people are paying to recieve a ticket into said event. Poker is different. ESPN is not exploiting one pro or any pro in particular. In fact, I could enter the same exact tourney (given I had the money) that Daniel enters. ESPN is taping a po
