delphi12 0
Listen closely and you will hear daniels mom see "che mommy" and later says "bye mommy." Which I found kinda funny. Living with a Romanian wife, I hear this all the time as well. Her mom call HER mommy! Its a cultural thing and they actually couldnt explain why they do it. I just wanted to know if anyone else caught that. Also, I've asked before, but never got a response - Daniel - do you speak fluent romanian? When speaking to your mom, do you speak english or romanian, or both (its weird to hear people who speak two languages because they 'code switch' often - meaning they will speak 1 sentence one language, then the next another, then sometimes mixed - its fascinating to listen to)? delphi12 0
It's a Turkish thing as well.Yep, I just asked my two turkish co-workers and they realized that yes, their mom does it as well.. Guess every other culture does it but americans. Interesting stuff..By the way, the "che mommy" comment means "what are you doing" or "whats up" Thats about the most romanian I know. 9 years of marriage (a few more years of dating) and I still only understand about 2 - 3 words.. Sad..
