Next Stage Of My Life Blog

Congrats on the new pad! Did you have a priest or minister come by and bless your house? I feel it makes me sleep better at night..... I've moved 3 times in the last 10 years and always had a priest, minister or reverend bless my home. Just curious.

Loved your blog - such great positive energy seems to be moving around you. I suspect more than one person here keeps you in their prayers - and even those pesky atheists send you good energy in their thoughts - (whether they know it or not!) - mazeltov, kiddo.

I would love to see pics of the game room. Here's my thoughts on getting a putting green: It would be awesome, but after a while it should become easy becuase you will know all of the slopes and you will know how to read every spot. You will soon learn where to hit the ball when you are in every spot onthe green. But when you go to a course, it will be different (especially the speed). It seems to me to get a putting green if you are rich but not looking to really get much better. This is just from my experience (When I went to put on my country club's green, I became good at it, but it was different when I went to other courses).

Gimme a break. Did you have your house blessed by a priest? Are you kidding me? Bring God closer to me in life...do you ever wonder why other people hate Christians and by extension, Americans (although all Americans are obviously not Chrsitian)? They always feel the NEED to tell everyone about their faith. Why? To what end. If you truly belive in faith and it making YOU a stronger person, then let it be a light in YOUR life. Ever have a Muslim thank Allah for helping him win a sporting championship? Ever seen a Jewish person win a major award and say "oh, man...I couldn't have done this without Moses."Christianity is, unfortunaltey, only good for applicable holidays.
I do not want to this to turn into a religious debate but you obviously have no knowledge of the Christian faith which is sad. As Christians we are instructed by Christ to be His witnesses. This is why Christians talk openly about their faith. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."(Acts 1:8)

Are you melting or something? Why do you care? To what end? That isn't a very good reason to hate a group of people. Let alone a country. Who are all these people hating America because of a religious population? Besides other Americans? Is that really what you attribute it to? Every time you hear someone thank God for their blessings and the ability and skill to go far in life, do you throw a tantrum and think "and they wonder why there's terror?"

Yes.Also, saying Jewish people for some reason or another would be thanking Moses for things leads me to believe you're quite the religious scholar that has pondered these thoughts quite deeply.Like it said earlier in this thread, your Blog has a lot of positive vibes in it DN. I've found moving has the power to do that. A change of scenery always makes people give off a good feeling. We're not a stand still species. Congrats!

Excellent blog Daniel! It reminds me of a message a few years back I heard from our Pastor . . . If you think right (trust in God, put others ahead of yourself, etc.)You will do rightand only then you will feel right.Pretty simple but very true.God bless.

Daniel,I don't see how christianity fits in with gambling in anyway shape or form. I come from a religious family and so does my wife, but am not particularly religious myself. I could not however admit to playing poker as it goes against all christian principles and they would give me a hard time about it. I don't understand how you can play poker for a living and claim to lead a christian way of life?

I dont remember ever reading a scripture or passage from the Bible that condemned poker or gambling as a sin. I could be wrong though.
