  1. I was just making up numbers as I actually did not work out the math. But, what I meant by that post was that since Ram claimed he lost by over 100 shots and that all three combined to lose over $1.8 million, then I figured that my numbers aren't that far off.
  2. Azwethinkweiz, you analogy is flawed. It's more like, you see a little girl and she tells you that she hasn't played basketball or that she shoots 10% from the free throw line. And you tell her that you shoot 20% from the free throw line. So you guys decided to make a wager, out of 100 shots. You give her 10 shots advantage, but it turns out that you made 20 shots out of 100 and she made 90 out of 100. You realized that you have been conned, cause shooting 90% is nearly impossible. Maybe it is possible for her to shoot 15% - 20% on a good day, but 90%? This is similar to the Ivey - Ram situt
  3. Yup, I agree they should play Ivey the money Ivey lost to them. Since, I am a solution oriented person, they pay Ivey $230,000 and move on with their lives. This way both parties win. Ivey wins by getting some money owed to him and Marc and Ram win by paying less money. "I don't believe Ivey lied at all. Again, even if he had, it wouldn't change the fact that he won the money FAIR AND SQUARE" -- that's a good line. Isn't lying = cheating = not fair? This is what is so great about the English language. Same words have different meanings to different people.
  4. Well, I disagree. If Phil lied, then that's not negotiation. If I lie, I can get anyone to do anything. Second, if Phil lied first, then Ram has the right to lie and not pay even though they have this bet.
  5. I believe Chris is directly responsible. How many people here actually saw Rounders? Judging by the box office numbers, not many. It's like saying I invented the computer, therefore I invented the internet and everything that is related to the computer. If, Sammy won the main event, I believe poker wouldnt be nearly as big with or without Rounders.
  6. While browsing through your blog, I did not see an entry regarding what you thought about Chris Moneymaker and how he was credited with starting the poker boom. I was interested in seeing what your take was, and have you ever thanked him for making poker pro wealthier, and more famous? What he has done to poker is like what AL Gore did to the internet....
  7. This dispute intrigued me, so I've decided to give you my 2 cents. In my view, this scenario is similar to:You met Jeev Singh (a real professional golfer, but you are unaware of this fact) on a golf course and decided you wanted to make golf more interesting. So, you proposed to gamble on golf. You asked him a set of questions to determine how good he was. So, you asked a couple of questions. 1) How would you describe your golf game? And, he responds by saying, "Lately, I've not been playing golf often, I was focusing on writing my book. " 2) The last time you played Tom (lets pretend Tom is
