  1. In a cash game, if there is an all-in and two calls(for significant m0ney) in front of me, I muck QQ every time. Jacks I'll muck for even less. And I'm right nearly every time at the limits I play. Of course, about 1 time in 10 or 20 I'm wrong, but that's no big deal because I saved my buy-in 9 times at the expense of failing to double or triple up once. Sounds like a good deal to me.
  2. Both. Because sometimes the best way to play some players is just to play the cards.
  3. When I play it's piano music all the way. Claude Debussy, some Beethoven. Sometimes Norah Jones.Maroon 5 is a very good band, but I prefer more relaxing music for playing poker.
  4. Playing low stakes limit hold em cash games I've had similar runs of cards.Once I had JJ JJ JJ 99 AQo AKs and 55 in that order, in a row. Over the course of the next20 hands I flopped two flushes and a straight. And ended up losing money because I played them poorly
  5. Hum... I think the correct play here is whatever Daniel says. So I'll go with that!Where in the heck is the "What Daniel says" option? 8)
  6. I've played in SnG's with 2 of my friends. We're from the same town. We did no collusion, we certainly didn't check anything down. One guy left the tournament before it started when he saw we were from the same town! People can be friends, from the same area, playing online, and not cheating. That being said, I understand when poker sites won't allow two people who've transfered money between accounts to play at the same table.
  7. I prefer tournaments, but only when playing LIVE games. I prefer cash on the net. Unfortunately, in both cases, tournaments are more fun.Don't ask me why I prefer cash games on the net
  8. I just think y0u can pick a better battle than JJ, for all your money, versus a completely unpredictable player.
  9. The type of pride considered, biblical pride, I would assumed, is a wrong estimate of oneself, or arrogance. Pride of this kind often hinders one from making real progress in anything. If you're constantly overestimating yourself, you leave yourself no room to improve. I think on Ayn's own reasoning you shouldn't be this way. This is the sort of pride that is had without earning it. In fact, her view of pride seems to agree very well with the general biblical view.I don't think Ayn's a very good philosopher. Which is no surprise, she rejected nearly all of philosophy. She'd probably like tha
  10. I fold.My reason for this is that it's simply DANIEL NEGREANU who is moving in on me. Dan will call all sorts of raises with hands that might've hit that flop hard. Daniel's so unpredictable that it's not worth the risk. You still have 10 big blinds in your stack so you're short, but not desperate. I just think the risk is too big going up against Daniel. Sure, he's absolutely good enough to be bullying me out at this point, and he very well may be. But there's also a good chance he has, at the very least, a great draw.
  11. I have not.I don't take a lot of time to read anything but philosophical texts anymore. I keep a list of the books recommended to me. Eventually I'll get around to reading them.
