Steve7stud Training Program

Recommended Posts

Over the last few weeks I have received a lot of requests regarding poker training. I usually explain to people that I am no longer coaching, and reccomend that they should contact one of my former students, or another type of training program. This last weekend I went away with my girlfriend up to the mountains. She asked me what my training program was like, what made me happy, etc. I realized two things. I miss teaching. I also am ridiculously proud of what my students have accomplished. I consider each and every person who completed training with me to be a friend. In fact some are now close friends, not only with me, but with each other. I don't judge a persons success by how much money they have won, but by their character, and overall development. I think it would be tacky to say look at where they were then, and are now. Some of my students were shocked when I told them that I was thinking of taking on new students. The reason for that is simple. I am busier now, and more successful than ever. Having said that, I do miss teaching. And I do miss watching people progress. If you are new to the site, please do a search of who I am. I am not saying that to be arrogant. I just don't have the time or patience to defend/explain why I am qualified to teach.Core training is 6 months. And everyone has the option of staying on indefinitely....Here are some things I need to know. How old you are?(you must be at least 20)What you play? What stakes? Why you feel you need training? What you do for a living? The training itself is geared toward middle limit players. My goal is to teach you how to be a winning player for life, not just for the week, month or year. Also, you must have a decent sized bankroll in order to train. It's very hard to work with someone if they go bust after the first month or so.I want to stress that I am going to be more selective now than ever before. I believe that my time is valuable. The training provided teaches you how to be a successful player. It does not teach you how to be a specialist in any game. If you are looking for a no limit coach, plenty of great people out there. But that is not me. If you want the skills to survive and thrive, this is the type of training for you. Please send me a pm if you are intersted. Also leave a message here letting me know that you have sent the pm. My inbox fills up rapidly, and I try and read all e-mails. If you are not selected, do not take it personally. Good Luck, Steve

This is one of the reasons I love FCP. By and large, just a great group of people, and Steve7Stud is certainly one of them.I won't even attempt to sign up for this training right now, as I don't probably qualify on several levels (age yes, BR and stakes played no), but I sincerely encourage and applaud all those who have and continue to offer this training to others. May all who apply, especially those fortunate enough to be accepted, please respect the commitment so that these programs will continue. Oh, and remember to pay it forward when you TP/MM!Thanks, S7S, and all the best to the next crew-in-training. :club:

Steve is a class-act. I can't believe the number of students he helps mold into greatness. Not sucking up, just stating a fact to applicants... I wish I could participate; those who do choose to apply, you'll be in good hands.

How old you are?(you must be at least 20)

Just wanted to stop by and say hello, Steve...Please update your new students on my latest card-protector type and usage guidelines...I switched to a padded toilet seat with a flower print. Also, plastic hinges are better for reducing squeeks...Be well...

I'm beginning to receive a ton of pm's. I reccomend that you let me know that you have sent the pm in this thread. You can simply say "sent". In the event that my inbox fills up, that is the only way I can contact you.

as one of his students who never posts. I highly recommend everyone who meets the bare requirements apply. I just gave it a shot and luckily got accepted. The training is invaluable and you will walk away with a ton of knowledge of poker in general and also a great group of friends. Good luck everyone!P.S. I'm surprised you're teaching again too!

I am working on a PM that will be sent shortly. I have thought about applying in the past, but I'm not sure if I have the time to commit. Let me know what you think.
