just wanted to write a little something about the protege part of the new blog from mike g.'s prospective.i just wanted to say that i know some of you are probably thinking that dn has to say the new protege has some serious skill. well i asked mike and i knew he would lie to me. he said for real dave i couldnt believe it that guy really could play. he said that the kid did all the right things and basically ran over the table. like dn said mike told me that no one really picked up on his stradegy. he said that he felt he was the only one that knew what anthony was up to and that was why he played his last hand so slow. he said he put anthony on some sort of nine and wanted anthony to make one of his river plays again so he could double. he knew it was a chance to get drawn out of but he said he felt he had to and it just sucked that anthony hit the backdoor diamonds. i for one think mike played it a little to slow but oh well his thinking was there.but anyway mike said he beleives that anthony will make a great protege and that he hopes he hits a big tourney while he is the protege. he said that anthony did hit some cards but you have to to a certain extent. he went on to say but dont get me wrong it wasnt the cards he hit that won it for him, anthony had the perfect stradegy and played great. finally he added that he thinks anthony might have been the best to win because no only does he play solid he hasnt played long enough to develop bad and very hard to break habits. he has only been playing for a year so he wont have the bad habits that say a person playing for 5 years have developed without a mentor. so from me and mike (cause he sucks at posting) we wish anthony luck and for those who think dn is just saying he has skills because he has to you are wrong anthony has some real talent.
