Interesting... doesn't look good in the near term for Pokerstars to renter the US market. I think the turning point will be when (maybe if) the DOJ drops the charges against the Scheinbergs. Sucks to be a US low stakes player, if you cannot afford $1/2 nlhe in your local casino...

If regulators grant PokerStars a license, "you are essentially trading your credibility away," said Mark Lipparelli, the former chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, who does consulting for rival gambling companies and others. "You may as well not have a licensing process."

I think it will be a bit of a gong show if online poker ends up state by state and they all have their own sites. Really needs to be Poker Stars to have any credibility and a more than a few players. Ultimate in Nevada barely has any traffic worth talking about and you have to be in the state to use it so kinda sucks especially when most of the players have so many good live options...
