TWO4CAN 0
nowhere in the original post does it say NL...its a simple question...thanks for the input...
KappaKid83 0
I have only seen Stud played PL at GamesGrid, and that was a while ago, I dont have an account there anymore. If you are playing Stud NL/PL, you are dumb. So since Limit is the norm for Stud, your post makes no sense as it pertains to a "normal" game of Stud.JEFF

How could you possibly be forced to call for all your chips if it was a limit game?

Ray Flavin 0
Just an opinion,If you bet and get re-raised, he's telling you "I have a HUGE hand" or he's bluffing. By the bet he's telling you he has KKK beat, and probably the K high flush, which should be ok with you because you can beat all of those hands. If he's a solid player he could have turned over AAA99, 9999, QsJsTs9s8s, JsTs9s8s7s, and make that bet.More importantly, and I don't know, how many players were there? did you see 12 or 14 card that were not 9's before 4th Street, and how many more did you see before everyone folded to your KK? That information would have helped. All in all you have to call there, sometimes your just beat and you get a a good story out of itRay[/url]

His grasp of limit vs. no-limit poker seems to be a little ambiguous as well. If I were forced to make a guess, I would say that he is either under the age of 15 or mildly retarded. jayboogie 0
Your post makes absolutely no sense at all and I have no clue what you're even talking about, but if this were a limit game, I wouldn't even raise the river if bet into by someone decent. Anyone with half a brain doesn't bet into somebody with a board showing 3 Kings when they can't at least beat a fullhouse.Action on previous streets would also be helpful, but considering you didn't post any of that, it sounds like you made it up. Keeper 0
My guess is that he kept RE-raising back until he had all of his money in the middle, and then in his opponents roll.It was probably limit, and he didn't get the fact that he was beat....again, down the road. But you suggest the OP go and read a book on poker right after telling him that he has the 2nd nuts. Hmmmmm......maybe you should have him pick you up one of those books too because thinking he has the 2nd nuts is just as retarded. And to the OP - I assume you are playing some home game variation to stud. In any case, Im calling here 99% of the time knowing that I very well could be beat. And like a previous post said, knowing some of the other players board cards would certainly help. Just thought it was ironic how some online tough guy tried to ridicule somebody basically telling them they do not know how to play poker when they do not know how to read a board themselves. And I think based on the post, he obviously was not playing a limit game (i know i know, what a dumb game) , therefore there are some people who can argue against a call there. Calling off all your chips with the 7th nuts (let me know if Im missing a hand) isnt always the correct move. But again, just giving the guy a hard time really.
