I think the point was that it's crazy that the 'world championship' has the lowest standard of play of any other major tournament in the year. Know any other soprt ehere that is the case??And what are these pro-only tourneys?? i can only think of the PPT. -

ok then let me rephrase, what mix of 5 games would give the BROADEST test of poker skill? For example: i chose my five to include two holdem games, two stud games and one draw game, including two no-limit games and three limit games.

The HORSE event has got me thinking, what would be your choice for the overall most testing mix of 5 games, i.e. the mix that would give the broadest variety of challenge. My choice would be: NLHE, limit O8, Stud, Stud8, Kansas city lowball.Thoughts?

It all seems like a bit of fun to me, no need to get moral about it. And the deadly sins are only part of Catholic tradition, not other denominations. I think i'm right in saying daniel is not a catholic??

*first post, high everyone * Mriya seems to be arguing simply that running it once gives you the greatest chance of taking the whole pot. This is clearly true. Mriya also seems to be assuming taking the whole pot is 'best' or 'what one should want to do'. This is debatable. So Andy is not 'simply wrong' when he says he would like to run it as many times as possible when a favourite. It's his opinion, and Mriya doesn't seem to have offered any concrete argument against it.
