I'm sorry but the GPI in my opinion not a very good way to distributing points for the players! I know all the pros follow it and want to be ranked first on it, but in my opinion, it doesn't give credits enough to the bracelet winner, while it gives a lot of credits to the player who cashed a lot... I mean the difference between 1st and 10th are not that high IMO... For Example: Dan KELLY cashed like 8 times ( biggest finish was 5th and the rest are higher than 10th (i guess)) GPI_POY=413 BLUFF_POY=344.70 (which is like 17% less) While the players who won a bracelet like: Mike Matusow G

I don't wanna enter in a debate to see who's right and who's wrong. on wsop.com in the POY race Mike the mouse has 228 points and he's in the top 10 for the wsop 2013 (Asia included) http://www.wsop.com/players/2013.asp So which website i should trust? and who is giving the wsop POY awards at the end? the GPI or the wsop? Mike Matusow had already 49 points before the result of the event #13 ( finished 14th in event #5)... So you want to convince me that the win of event #13 gave him only 167-49= 118 points?? while Eugene katchalov had no cashes until now in the wsop and his first was event #13 and and he finished it 22nd or 23rd and it earned him 49 points while Mike earned only 118 points while finishing 1st?? Think about it...

i checked the field and the buy in multipliers on Bluff magazine which is similar to GPI (without the aging factor)... Mike won 5k buy in tournament on +201 field so this gives him 210 points at least according to bluff... so BOB i'm pretty sure now Mike Matusow score is wrong. Check it out b4 the next update

I don't get it !! MiKe Matusow had already 49 points and then he won a bracelet and his score is only 167 pts?! Eugene Katchalov made the 23rd position of the same tournament and he made 49 pts!! WTF? on GLOBAL POKER INDEX has 228 pts in the POY Race! i dunno if he has earned other points before the wsop but something is not right! Anyone else noticed that?
