wildo 0
Looking on cardplayer I see that Travis Green finished 12th, I know that the Travis Green from the NHL, I think he's with the Bruins now, has played in some big tourneys before. Anyone know if this is the same guy?
MoLeafsMo 0
I hope for Travis Green's sake that he's a better poker player than he is a hockey player...I hated him when he was on the Leafs.
shack 0
Yeah I believe it is the same one. I know there are quite a few NHL guys in the WSOP tourney as I am friends with one of them (AHL/Swiss League now) and he's down there with a pile of them. Green wasn't mentioned specifically but he said there are quite a few he had run into as well. What else do they have to do I guess.
hockeyeh 0
no its not travis green the nhler because the poker player travis greens hometown is in california and travis green the nhler is a canadian, u may say he lives in california but that is unlikely too considering the guy has never played on a team from or anywhere near cali. shack 0
Good point hockeyeh. But if you check out this Travis Green bio (scroll to personal info), you'll see that for whatever reason he spends the off-season in Orange County.http://www.mapleleafs.com/bio.ml?playerNam...0Travis%20GreenCan you tell I'm bored today. BillFillmaff 0
I played with the NHL player Travis Green last summer in Atlantic City. He was fairly lippy at the table making rude comments about the other players mothers and wives.
HatTrick 0
Poker News says it's him. From World Series of Poker – Day Four Report: A great story that fell just short of being on ESPN was Travis Green. Oh, Travis has already been on ESPN a bunch, because he plays hockey for the Boston Bruins (at least he did, before the lockout, or is it a strike?), and has been in the NHL for a number of years. Travis managed to wade his way through the field of 2,305 entrants...only to finish 12th, and miss the TV by three places. Something tells me this ESPN appearance would have been Travis' favorite one ever.
