  1. I turned 21 on July 22nd, so as my birthday gift, I bought in to Event #37, the $1,500 NLHE tournament. Here's how it went down.I started the first table okay, got run down to $900 from a $1,500 start, and then the last hand of my table saw me double up when my Pocket Kings held up against Ace-King.Then, my table was broken down, and I got moved to a table where Marcel Luske was sitting. For a split second, when I saw him there, I went, "Oh CRAP." But then I realized that I couldn't avoid him, so I got right to it. I introduced myself, we cracked jokes, he's just like he seems on television. H
  2. I'll be in Vegas from July 21st - July 27th for my 21st birthday extravaganza. I'll be playing in Event #37, the $1,500 NLHE tournament, which starts on July 25th.I'd love to meet up with you guys while I'm down there, just send me a message and we can set something up.
  3. Every week I have a home game at my place. Nothing major, just a $5 buy-in, and we get a ton of chips to play with, the point is to have fun. These people are my friends, and so I've played a lot of poker with them. And they finally learned to change their play-styles against me, so it's been tough to regroup and try and pin them down again.Anyway, I'm down to heads up with the Villian, and he's got me outchipped, but not by much. He's got 42k to my 34k, roughly, after calling pre-flop raises, blinds at 1k - 2k, and the pot is around 8k [i think]. I'm sitting with 5c5s. The flop comes out 5h -
  4. I've been trying to find out who won it. I know it came down to Todd Brunson and Johnny Chan.Who won? Thanks.
  5. How does a poker shootout work? One of the events for next years WSOP Limit Hold'em Shootout, and I'll actually be able to play in a few events next year [i hit 21 on the 22nd of July], and I was just wondering how a Limit Hold'em Shootout actually works.Help is appreciated!
  6. Oh. Crud.Yay for a failed joke thanks to me being an idiot and misreading the post.
  7. Simple.. moving all in to buy a pot isnt that stupid, (if you picked up weakness of course)I think its hilarious when I push all - in, and get CALLED by someone with nothing.haha let me explain the pot then and tell me if u see weakness.....25/.5 nlme: aq spades...i raise preflop to 2.50 well b/c people will call any raise...3 callersflop xxx 2 spadesI check hopin to see a free card...its raised to 11 with 3 callers...so i make the call with a nut draw. turn is a sweet spade. givin me the nuts. Our featured table now consists of David Oppenheim, Daniel Negreanu, David Grey, Johnny Chan and Jean Robert Bellande. Negreanu leads the pack with nearly 40,000 in chips. After a flop of K-9-3, David Oppenheim bets $2,500, and Jean Robert Bellande calls. The turn brings a 7,
  9. I'm surprised this wasn't in the first two.10) Motorhead - The Ace of Spades
  10. I just read the entire 28-page preview, and I must say, I'm hooked. I'm definately pre-ordering this book, and I anticipate its reading.
  11. Thanks for the factual update Harry.IMHO, I fully believe that the maximum limit of 6600 players will be reached this year for the WSOP: ME. But I think that after this year, it'll start to drop a little, because people are realizing that this game can take everything you've got and then some. I think it'll even out to the 3000 - 5000 mark over the next few.Of course I could be wrong. But we'll have to wait until next year.
  12. In reference to the Krablar:http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...?t=7967&start=0In reference to the "Jack high statement":That was made in a smaller tournament during the WSOP by one Elix Powers towards some other player that called his [Elix] made hand when the other player was holding a Jack high. Hence the statement.
  13. Well, now that we've gotten the sarcastic comments out of the way, could I please get a serious answer as to where you're getting these updates?I checked pokerwire and cardplayer, but they don't have them.
