How Do You Keep Your Online Bankroll?

Recommended Posts

I like keeping my poker funds seperate from the money in my bank account. So right now, I have about 2/3 of my bankroll sitting on poker sites and the remaining sitting in neteller. With all the recent neteller scams, I worry if this is the most secure way to keep your roll. So just wondering, where do you keep your money? Let's talk about bankrolls of more than 5k.erac**also, I figure it's a good idea to keep at least some money in neteller, in case you want to transfer it somewhere immediately for a tourney or something. My real question i guess, is if you're only putting 10-20 percent of your roll in play at a time, is there any reason to keep a lot of your money on the pokersite itself.

why only discuss bankrolls of more than $5ka bankroll is still a bankroll no matter how big it is.I think the best reason for keeping a portion of your bankroll in neteller or even in a separate cash account would be to prevent a major case of "tiltage".if you get hit with a series of bad beats and start to tilt then the time it takes to transfer funds back into your poker account should give you some reflection time.I don't know, just my opinion

If you aren't going to be using a huge part of your bankroll, put it in an account where you can earn some interest. Last I checked, NETeller and poker sites don't pay interest. Idle cash is a waste.

I actually agree with sixhands. I like to keep alot of my roll in my actual bank account, that way if I do go on tilt..I have to complete the actual transfer transactions, and I can be more aware of how much of my roll im dipping into. Not much time, your right, however it does help a bit.

The reason for discussing larger bankrolls is because security issues aren't as important below 5k. Tilt is not an issue. I'm just curious to see how people keep their roll? What do you do?

My bankroll is safely four account transfers away from the poker site. If I go broke on what I have online, it takes 2 days to reload, which is enough time for me to re-read "Ace on the River" and get my mind straight.Oh, wait, I forgot... Washington State sucks. I have to play in the casinos now. :club:

I have a second checking account that I have completely devoted to poker...all my winnings go into my savings account. It's much safer that way...from hackers and myself.
