general question about online poker

Recommended Posts

I have been playing online poker for a couple months now. It started off pretty good. I have been playing on party poker for a most of that time, usually the 50 NL and Sit-n-Gos. I read the forum a lot but dont post much. I see a lot of talk about how people can make so much money by taking advantage of the stupid people that play on party poker. I just cannot see how this is the case. So many times it seems like people who play almost anything with any raise win the hands and I am beginning to think its impossible to play against these people. I was just wondering how most of you make money on sites like party poker where it seems as though bad play is rewarded. Thanks in advance. Here is an example of what I am talking about (first hand of a tournament):Seat 1: acepatrick ( $800 )Seat 2: popNchips ( $800 )Seat 3: dick1732 ( $800 )Seat 5: Mandingo9 ( $800 )Seat 6: b1gxpaul ( $800 )Seat 7: antonio_co ( $800 )Seat 8: tomt1 ( $800 )Seat 4: taktaxi ( $800 )Seat 10: GoldenMule22 ( $800 )Seat 9: baldoski ( $800 )Trny:12885475 Level:1Blinds(10/15)** Dealing down cards **Dealt to GoldenMule22 [ Ah, As ]dick1732 folds.taktaxi calls [15].Mandingo9 calls [15].b1gxpaul calls [15].antonio_co calls [15].tomt1 raises [125].baldoski calls [125].GoldenMule22 raises [350].acepatrick folds.popNchips folds.taktaxi folds.Mandingo9 folds.b1gxpaul folds.antonio_co folds.tomt1 is all-In [675]baldoski is all-In [675]GoldenMule22 is all-In [450]** Dealing Flop ** [ 2d, Th, Jc ]** Dealing Turn ** [ 2s ]** Dealing River ** [ 2h ]tomt1 shows [ Qc, Qs ] a full house, Twos full of queens.GoldenMule22 shows [ Ah, As ] a full house, Twos full of aces.baldoski shows [ Ac, 2c ] four of a kind, twos.baldoski wins 2485 chips from the main pot with four of a kind, twos.
