North Carolina, if I'm not mistaken, has a day of the fight weigh in, and I'm pretty sure the ufc is never going back there because of it. You can't gain back over x amount after your weigh in.

Another fighter collapsed in the locker room and now the Brandao fight is off. It was his opponent.

That's the right way to do it.

Weigh them in at the ****ing cage at fight time.

That solves that.

There goes about 3/4 of a years worth of winnings.

Seats - There are no good seats (unless you are ringside). We had floor seats 11 rows from the ring... pretty close and I paid quite a bit. I couldn't see shit. You can't see over other people's heads

Listening to post show. Dana says Vitor and his wife were begging him all week to keep his spot on that card for an interim title shot. Dana gives in and calls Machida. Machida signs a fight contract for an interim title fight with Vitor. Dana calls Vitor and Vitor declines the fight.

Just lol

Much respect for Mark Goddard on the Iaquinta/Lauzon stoppage.

It was a completely correct decision, less experienced/dumber refs would not have made it.

Lauzon remains one of my favorites.

Really? That's ridiculous. Brazilians man. Too much country pride.

Never heard an American say they fight for America. And I'm fine with that.

I think we're just weeding through the last of the fighters who had those kinds of 'options' when they signed contracts, since a lot of them were lured over back when there were still competing MMA organizations. Bet your ass that every fighter signed since 2011'ish has been told, in no uncertain terms, that turning down fights significantly cheapens your value to the company and if you want to do it, OK, but you'd better not ever lose two in a row and give us a reason to cut you. Same thing with lay and pray.

who the hell is Brandon Thatch and why is he the main event of a ufc card?

I've been asking you this for a year. Did they find him an opponent yet? His original opponent, Stephen Thompson, got hurt. At best, that fight is a pre-lim main event.

He's interesting. Extremely Dominick Cruz'ish.

https://en.wikipedia.../Brandon_Thatch

He's fought 12 fights since 2008. His second fight was a split decision loss in Strieforce (in 2008)

Every other fight has been a dominant 1st round stoppage win, including his 3 so far in the UFC... but welcome to the bigs, kid, because he hasn't fought anyone in Benson's universe.

If he dusts Bendo, expect to see a contendership fight- if not a title shot- shortly thereafter, even at terribly clogged WW.

Thatch is very, very good.

Anderson Silva popped for steroids, Nick Diaz for pot.

These guys man

$800k vs $500k salary, plus PPV points, I'm guessing

DW has to be done with Diaz, right? Plus, will they give him more than a year, or be progressive and realize pot shouldn't be banned

I believe its banned by the SAC, right?

I am totally in favor of them not freaking out over trace amounts but if there;s a lot in there, no doubt it dulls pain.

Yeah, and he was over the 150 metabolites limit. But I thought I remember hearing that the Olympic testing was 1500 for a positive.

Or I'm confused. It came up when Browns receiver Josh Gordon failed a test with a super low levels and everyone was talking about how low the nfl's standards are compared to the Olympics.

Now I'm just rambling here.

Unless you fight high, I don't care about pot.

Raising the threshold level to 150 nanograms per milliliter means that an athlete would have to be a "pretty dedicated cannabis consumer" to test positive, according to Allen St. Pierre, executive director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).

I think we know who's REALLY behind this, "Allen".

I've decided I only care about girl fights now

I can't wait for Herrig vs Vanzant. Herrig is going to try and clinch up and overpower Vanzant because of her size but Vanzant trains with alpha male so she should be able to hold her own in the wrestling department if that happens. I'm also hoping that they scissor during the fight

@MikeBohnMMA: Rory MacDonald vs. Hector Lombard being pulled from UFC 186 is the 13th main or co-main event change for UFC in 2015.

He also tweeted that Lombard had no idea and that UfC seems to always eff this up. They don't contact parties involved first.

Enjoying Bellator. Its just starting right now 8 cst Feb 13th.

Apparently Dave and Busters shows Bellator events... and you thought UFC night at Hooters was a tardfest. Imagine Bellator at D&B's.

I'll be there for the next event.

I mentioned him in here a couple months ago I think. His punches are straight up vicious, he reminds me of Travis Browne a bit. I'm surprised the UFC hasn't scooped him up yet, he seems like a guy that they would want immediately.
