Nah, I'm not a high-limit player. Just a silly college-student, playing some NL100. The danish poker-scene is quite small, and we have a couple of good poker-sites where most of the good players hang out. So it's like "everybody knows everybody" or at least "everybody has heard of everybody".But I don't know Lagerborg personally, I know of him - Guess everybody here knows of him, quite good.

Im just wondering....maybe you can answer this because you are closer geographically.....Whats the poker scene like in Sweden. It seems like there are tons of good pros and amateurs from Sweden and lots of online players from Sweden. Is there lots of places to play brick and mortar?

I don't know jack about the Swedish scene. Cashgames are illegal in Denmark outside of the casinos (and almost all the casino-cash-games suck), but we have loads of live MTTs - A couple of poker-unions arranging several good tournaments. That might be why many danes (& swedes) are doing so well in tournaments. You got me thinking. What's the difference between Scandinavian players, and players from the rest of the world?I've been thinking about this for a little while now, and can't come up with a clear answer. Many of the brilliant nordic players have been playing for many years, but we've got a fair share of immensely talented players, that came out of the blue a couple of years ago.Just look at the winner of the Five Diamond Classic, Rehne 'Carlos' Pedersen. A nice boy from a small town, who started playing poker a couple of years ago. In Denmark we've known him to be a good solid player for some time now. He's been learning from other pros and just got his game going really well. (Geez I'm loosing in stud right now)I can't say whether or not, the mentality of the young scandinavian players are different from the rest of the world. We've always been kinda quiet and thoughtful, and that is a good feature when playing poker.I just don't know. Tired. Must sleep :club:

Oh well, union is probably not the right word. Federation rather. They are there to help poker get better conditions in Denmark. You get to see EPT? Amazing. I can tell you that the EPT-event in Copenhagen just finished few minutes ago and a Dane won it. Sweden is bigger than Denmark, naturally they will have more good players.

Ya we get to see the EPT and the coverage is pretty good. Id rather watch that then listen to Mike Sexton on the WPT shows. I have also been following this years events on the pokerstars blog. I was hoping Noah Boeken would take this one down again but it wasn't to be.
