DoyleFlush 0
i saw Negreanus post about Phil Hellmuths book "Play Like The Pros" about how it's horrible for cash game play, so i'd like to know, how do you play differently from a tournament in a cash game? i don't play much like Phil, but I have noticed my game does best in tournaments. Could I get tips on how to play cashgames & more sucessfully? Thanks.

Q 0
In tournaments you can't rebuy at any time, the blinds increase, and the money is payed out according to finish, For these reasons the value of the chips effectively change depending on the situation you are in. For the most part, tournament chips tend to be a more valuable . This rewards agression and means that there are few situations where one should call a raise. If this doesn't make sense to you, I suggest you buy Tournament Poker by sklansky. In cashgames, because you can always rebuy, you want push all your small edges. FOOSE1 0
In cash games you CAN afford to be very patient. In tournaments the blinds are always increasing which requires you to take more risks. Cash games are at set blinds so you do not have to "make a move" at any time. Patient people definately do better in cash games. You definately should not be playing tournaments and cash games the same.
