I'm sure you can do better.

Mario 690 Goals in 915 GP 0.75 G/per game

Dino 608 goals in 1232 GP 0.49 G/per game

Find me another player who scored 0.75 goals per game over a longish career and I will show you a generational talent.

you missed the point entirely. Would you rather watch cicarelli bang in 600 3 foot rebounds, or Mario dance through 5 players and make a goalie look silly? My point...and I reiterate I THINK GRETZKY IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME... is that part of the beauty of the game is to appreciate the artistry of the players. If you want to reduce everything to stats, have at it. I will still tell you the most exciting player I ever saw live was bobby Orr. Stats or not.

We're not talking enough about how ridiculous the Blue Jackets have been his season. They have 5 regulation losses.

that's because we all hate that Torts is having success

They just said the Blues became the 23rd team to play in an outdoor game...

That seems high.

So 7 haven't... off the top of my head...

Florida

Tampa

Carolina

Nashville

New Jersey

Arizona

Columbus

Ottawa

...that's 8 teams... so one of those teams has played in an outdoor game? lol. Columbus maybe? Ottawa?

The real answer is:

Arizona

Carolina

Columbus

Dallas

Florida

Nashville

Tampa Bay

I think Dallas is probably the most likely to get into a game at some point. I could also see a Tampa vs Florida game at some point, perhaps.

Nashville and Columbus both have really good fan bases, but it's tough to figure out a rival for each of them to play. Columbus-Pittsburgh could be a possibility. Nashville could go with any other Central rival.

That leaves just Arizona and Carolina.

AZ won't get one for a long time, considering they're garbage now. Maybe a game vs Vegas in the future? The Desert Classic? They've played outdoor games in Vegas before (exhibition only).

Carolina... where do they fit in?

I am simultaneously in wonder at the CBJ while hating that torts is anywhere near a winning team without having to buy a ticket.

It is the year of the C0ck.

All hail the 92-93 Penguins,

http://www.bardown.com/5-fun-facts-about-the-1992-93-pittsburgh-penguins-nhl-record-17-game-winning-streak-1.643685

I found that article a fun read, especially the Mario stat line over the streak, and the last team mentioned in the article. :(

I totally freaked out at this:

The story behind Borje Salming’s awkward 1,000th-game tribute

http://www.sportsnet...0-game-tribute/

Why I freaked out as I read this was that last year, I found an old box of hockey cards/memorablia, and came upon a ticket to a Leafs game I had gone to as a teenager, with a buddy of mine. What I knew of that game was that it was an unreal 7-7 score. So as I read the article, I realized that I had somehow attended Salmings 1000th game, had a ticket stub, and it never dawned on me.

(Im going to tweet an image of the ticket to Stellick if anyone cares to see it)

Patrick Laine just got absolutely destroyed by Jake McCabe.

It is the exceptionally rare "big hit" that was neither dirty, nor unnecessary. Open ice, removing the puck carrier from the puck and ending a rush, zero head contact. Unfortunately, looks like Laine probably got a concussion from it.
